They got the running game going again. Weber looked lost out there. I don't know why they didn't use Gray more. I can't imagine he is going to see the field much in the next couple of games either, especially not passing.

U-G-L-Y!!!!!! Love Brewster's recruiting, but still waiting for that signature win!!! Should have kept the old offensive coordinator! D looked alright, but didn't do a good job on third down.

Well said CJH, I won't trash an amateur athlete either.

A coaches job is to put the right player in a position to make the right play. All too often on Saturday the offensive coordinator was the one who looked lost not Weber. The few times that Weber overthrew or just missed receivers is understandable. It's real easy for those of us watching television or even at the game to question a quarterback on his throwing. He is seeing a completely different game at field level and not the same game we are watching. Most of the time the receiver is reading the play differently than the quarteback and the pass isn't even close. Actually the Gophers did fairly well with the players they had, Penn State has much better players at most positions and they are better coached as well, hence their success.

It appears Penn St and Ohio St scheduled the right patsy for their homecoming games.

Coach Brew's combined record vs. OSU, PSU, Mich, Iowa, Wis.: 0-11. Outscored: 368-161.

Start packing your bags Brewster.

It's really a sad situation right now. Weber has regressed to a point of no return...time to play it out with M.G.

Almost looks as if the coaching staff has lost all credibility with it's players. I saw lot's of non-interested players on the sidelines today while supposedly being "coached up" as they came off the field and sat down. A near fight between player/coach caps it all off.

Where are all these great Brewster prospects that have signed these last two years gone? I sure don't see them and none of them is having the slightest impact at all. I don't get it.

Brewster is gonna be feeling some serious heat from here on out.

The Gophers are suffering from low self esteem. What they need are some of those stickers for their helmets like Ohio State has. Then, when a player ties his own shoes...he gets a sticker or puts on his shoulder pads right....he gets a sticker. By then end of the season when 6 or 7 players have a few stickers they'll feel better about themselves. The rest of them..... well they just won't get any better than they are now.

The top Big Ten teams get some of the best players in the county and the Gophers can't even get the best players in MN. to play here. Until that changes nothing will change.

Boys the difference at Ohio, Penn State, Michigan and all the other nationial powers is they expect to win. They don't settle for a almost win. You don't hear there coaches go on radio or tv saying how proud of there players they are after they just got there hinders kicked. We have a first rate stadium and a miac coach. You want to compete with the big boys you need a big guy coach. And you have to land for sure the top players in the state not one or two but 90% of them. What we have now is a younger Whacker.

It almost seemed like some of the Gopher players had stage fright playing against the Ohio State and their 100,000+ fans - dropped ball after dropped ball, dumb penalties, etc. The defense played ok, but they have nobody up front that can rush and take down the QB. The offense lacks identity. Weber looks completely lost out there. The offensive line is big but can't open holes or pass protect. I think Fisch needs to go back and review last year's films and see what was effective in the beginning of the year. What he'll see is that the spread offense was effective, and the players he's got to work with this year are essentially the same as last year. I think Weber would look better even without Decker. Overall though, I think we should be using Gray as QB more and more. He would do very well in the spread offense since he can run. And he showed last week that he can throw the short pass too.

University of Minnesota standout wide receiver Eric Decker has a sprained left arch in his foot that might need surgery and will miss the rest of the regular season, Gophers coach Tim Brewster said today.

It's still possible Decker would be available if the Gophers make it to a bowl game. They are 4-4 (2-3 in the Big Ten) and need two more wins to be bowl eligible.

Decker, a senior, leads the Gophers in receiving with 50 catches for 758 yards and 5 touchdowns. Earlier this week, he was announced as one of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award given to the nation's top receiver.
