KMR85
Great game tonight! Very entertaining IMO. Look out Detroit!
greebs
lots of road games coming up and how this team can perform on the road is going to be vital in how they end up. when they are playing well, they are a very good team but they've definitely got some holes that get exposed sometimes. they've had way too many occasions where they get base runners on with none or one out and don't score or get only one run. big turnaround from the great risp average last year and hopefully it can get a little better.bullpen is an issue as well. they've only realistically got a couple bp pitchers that are good and the rest are terrible. Maybe Swarzek will continue pitching well and either Liriano or Perkins can move to the pen to help it out.the top 2/3 of the batting lineup is typically very strong but the bottom 1/3 is very weak and not much for pinch hitters on the roster when the inevitable occurs and the bottom 3rd of the lineup is scheduled to bat late in the game in an inning where runs are needed.fortunately, they play in the right division where there's time to right the wrongs. think there needs to be a couple personnel changes somewheres along the road to make them a real potential contender for something more than just winning the division. KMR85
Tonight was a tough one...Maybe they should leave the pinstripes in the lockers and just wear the throwbacks at home.
nofishfisherman
"Back to .500"I think we'll be hearing this phrase a lot this season unless they can start winning on the road and they figure something out in the bullpen. I hear Glavine was released by the Braves, lets sign him and see how much dust falls of his arm.
KMR85
The hitting on the road continues to be terrible. These guys need to pick up their offense on the road to be a contender.
bassNspear
ya, it wasnt good. First time in a long time to see Joe and Justin to go 0-7 together in a game!
Mr.Seaguar
The Twins half of the 3rd was pretty sad.
KMR85
That was when they had the bases loaded and one out right? Heart of the order up to bat and no runs scored. That can't happen if they want to win the division or go deep into the playoffs.
zamboni
What is really bad is all the home field advantages we have enjoyed since 1982 will be gone soon, they better start learning how to win without that dome over there heads, or they will be on for some long seasons. KMR85
Maybe if I stop watching these guys while they are on the road they will win some games. The road games have been very boring this year.
Windy City Walleye Hunter
KMR,Looking about the same 400 miles away here in the Windy City. Good game bad game good game two bad games, not much excitement yet. I don't think anybody really has the horses to run away with this division this year. First team to 85 wins might just take it! Gary Crichton
Windy I think your right on with the numbers. No one is running away with it. We can't win on the road. 85 wins could do it.
