Yeppers, "fire sale" in Chicago. Get your aging Gomer Pyle looking home-run hitters for little or nothing.

Just hope once Ozzies welcome is wore out there, the Twins hire him as a bench coach. Guys been the biggest Twins fan for years now and would be an excellent bench coach

he wants to tear down the number from 14 to 13 tonight

I heard that on the radio this morning. grin

After watching the game last night, everytime they showed him in the dugout he just had that look on his face, "... what is going on here..." shockedcrazyshocked

He HATES the dome.

Hates the Dome, but loves our Twins. I did have a thought about him being bench coach though- you kinda want the bench coach to be the manager once the manger gets tossed, knowing Gardy and Ozzie, they'd both be out arguing on the same play and get tossed at the same time.

The forks that were sent were REQUESTED by you band wagon fair weather fans of TwinkieVille, just remember that. Don't kill the messenger. You were all off the band wagon and wailing about sticking forks into your Twinkies, not me. And if you think that dumping two aging contracts that were going to go away in a month anyway and in return getting a centerfielder and a pitcher who has pitched a perfect game in triple A is a fire sale then call me Sparky and put a big red hat on my head. Kenny Williams is a genius in getting what he did and freeing up some money to get more players! Season ain't over yet boyz, I got a feeling I will be sending more forks up north in a few weeks, you will all be jumping off the wagon again as history always repeats itself.

Wow, all the stalkers are coming out of the woodwork now! Season ain't over yet and I am sure the band wagon will be emptied and filled a few times in Twinkie Ville!

Ozzy did it again when he made his last pitching change tonight. He looked in the Twins dugout as if to say, "which one of these guys is going to beat me tonight?" Only to find out that Gardy had Morales standing in the tunnel so Ozzy couldn't see him. grin

It's always fun to beat the sox. Even funner to do it in walk off fasion.

Any way you look at it Windy...it's a fire sale. You can send the forks...I'll send you a spare white flag. The Twins didn't give up...they adressed PART of the problem that had so many fans questioning their front office. So far, the moves have paid off and the Twins are STILL in the thick of it. White Sox...not so much. grin

Looks like the low budget moves trump high dollar accquisitions.

I didn't notice Jake Peavy pitching in this series. Maybe I missed it?

Yep, windy they jumped back on the wagon, left the forks behind. Or maybe they are using the forks to help Cruddy chow down some more griddlecakes after his monster night with 2 more solo homers for the year. wink

You act like it's his fault his HRs were solo shots. At least he hit them out.

Nope, mainly that he bats 240 with men on and has 67 rbi's.

Hey fishin58 there is plenty of room on the Sux bandwagon. Go ahead and jump on, if you don't like the players on this team. I would hate to hear what you have to say about the M and M boys.

WOW...............

Last I looked Justin batted like 297 and Joe about 373 with guys on. Not much to call out there, unless Justin decides to go 0 for September.

Oh I know and there names are listed. Just tired of the cuddy bashing. Put him on the market and there would be 28 teams bidding on him. Don't use this years slugging percentage, use a few years worth. It all evens out and he is a big positive for this team. A great team player.

GO TWINS STAY HOT.

    • On June 30 I sent the dnr an email this is their response, "Hello Rob,
The hunting regs will be out the last week in July"
    • I agree about the lodge. After gear and any snow it can become a heavy pull. The lodge fit in my 1500 chevy silverado (6.5 ft box) as long a you put the flat end of the tub to the front and when closing the tailgate you had to pick up the end of the sled just a little for the gate to close.
    • When the heck do they issue them? Seems to be getting late. I'd like to know what kind of slaughterhouse Zone 1 will be, or if they are going to play it smart and continue being a bit conservative
    • Definitely plan on doing some pulling by hand ealry ice so I'm thinking the cabin it is then. Thanks for the tips and info on the otters and equipment it's been a very big help!
    • Yep, I've contacted 4 or 5 campgrounds in the last couple of days. One has gotten back to me, the rest have not yet.   We will be up that way over the Labor Day holiday so we can check out a few campgrounds while we are there. We actually checked out 2 or 3 while we were up there last year at that time.   I'm not too sure if we are ready to take the plunge yet or not but we are close.
    •   If you are start talking to the owners of the campgrounds now about letting you know when there may be an opening. Ours fills up during the summer but at the end of the season the owners will start hearing about those that will be moving out at the end of the year. Lot's of relatives will tell their families as soon as they hear someone is moving out. Good Luck.
    • Thanks guys. Looks like there are a few lakes to checkout.
    • I really hope the wolves aren't seriously considering this. You take LeBron James off the cavs, and Irving leads them to an 8 seed in the east, at best! This is going to be KAT's team for years to come, so if Irving is looking to be top dog, it certainly won't be here! Personally, I don't think he'll be traded. If the lakers show any sign of improvement in this upcoming season, LeBron will be leaving to go there anyway, so Irving just needs to be patient and he'll be he top guy again.
    • We're definitely checking out our options in a couple of areas we like but I'm not sure if it will happen as early as next year or not.
    • Definitely something to be said about parking it an leaving.  My fees are nothing except the bills I help pay for at the family cabin.  Would hate hooking and unhooking all the time.
