St. Pattty effect fishing?

I was just wondering if St. Patrick Day effects fishing at all. I know it might effect how many people are out fishing. I can't drive out to the lake I know that.

Do people fish on St Pattys Day? Do green jigs work best? How about some green stink bait? Do you put a leprechaun down the hole for luck?

If you put a couple drops of green dye in the water it might attract them pretty good. Anyone try it before? Just something to chew on.

I caught some leprechauns through the ice today. I used gold jigs.

I'm Irish, and I fished today. And I nailed the lake trout on Burntside near Ely. Not a green lure in sight (I caught them all on a copper colored spoon.)

A leprechaun is standing next to a hole and asking you if you think you should send him down that hole.

Your wife is trying on her Prom dress and asking you if you think it's too tight.

In either case, the answer you give will not satisfy the questioner (wives and leprechauns are equally capricious), and you are a dead man. Why not just shut up and fish, since you're dead in either case and you might catch the fish of a lifetime before death strikes you down?

Ya I fell pretty lucky when he told me all the great secret spots and he did turn our beer green. It was pretty cool, he just waved his hand and and our beer turned green. After a few shots of Jameson we were doing Jameson minnow bombs.

He also hooked me up with a special gold jig that would cause the line to never break and had a magnetizing affect on all fish species.
