I was curious how many people use flouro leaders when using fireline or is it just one more knot to worry about on your jigging and rigging setups. I am also wondering lengths and pound test? I mainly fish a very clear lake so was hoping for some kind of advantage for spooky eyes...

I use floro leaders for ice fishing with Firline.

Been trying to use floro line for open water jigging - but getting a little frustrated with line twists & stiffness of floro. That stuff is more trouble than I think it is worth. for Jiggin, I am considering either going back to straight fireline, or w/ floro leader, or using a limper copoly/mono (e.g. XL, Gama, Cortlend Endurance).

For rigging I use a floro/mono leader attached to a snap swivel.

Definitly use the fireline or power pro with a Flouro leader. I have had great success with the back to back uni knot for attaching the leader as well.

Almost all my non-muskie rigs are Fireline Crystal with a flourocarbon leader tied with a uni to uni knot. And most of those are 15lbs Triple fish flouro.

Sometimes in darker water I skip the flouro and tie the fireline right to the jig.
