Well we hit the big O saturday night with the boat about 730pm and stayed till bout 1030..... got one nice perch... and 5 waldo's between me kyle and my dad... lost about 10 more.... we didn't hit the canal main lake just outside the wall... 3 were in the 20-22 inch range... not a bad night.... and OMG it looked like the Salmon river out there.... Crazy people... was nice to have the boat to get a little space.

And no gobblers.. i was working all weekend.. but my dad and kyle had them going.. but couldn't bring them with in range... I say cause i wasn't calling smile

I'm here. I put one on the ground opening day and have guided 3 kills. I've got my boat in fishing condition and ready to hit the water this weekend sometime. I did 80% of all the wirering in the boat and only have to replace a few switches and one fuse blade panel and put in a livewell reciculator. I'm going to fish for some walleye's but then I'm going to target the crappies and gills.

If you want to really see a Thunderchum Meltdown...break his leader off or be around the Boat Ramp when it's windy and he is trying to load his boat...or better yet, watch him operate the Trolling Motor with a little wind and the fish are biting laugh

Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I think he covered all of those the other night.. whistlewhistle Ummm yea, now that I think about it, all situations were covered. Broke off one of his favorite jigs right at the side of the boat. Wind was blowin us all over making it hard for him to fish and the boat did not want to be centered on the trailer at the end of the night. shockedshocked. I assure you there was a melt down. Not sure how major but melt down there was!!!

Was thinkin bout takin the grumman out tmro am but havnt seen the weather yet..

Fished off the pier last night for about a 1/2hr caught one smallmouth and then it started raining.I hate to say it but im getting burned out on fishing going to take it easy for a couple days tired.

Hey ThunderCoal...Vanessa just brought up a good point..."Has Todd taken his temperature lately" in regards to YOU being Burnt on Fishing cry

You have been going hard all Spring...now you have a taste of what FishingKing and I went through at the end of the 07-08 Ice Season crazy It does take it's toll, but well worth every second spent on the Ice/Water...Great Job Brother Todd, you have "Hooked Up" with a lot of Finned friends wink

No meltdowns tonight, the yahoos are thinning out. Tank and I fished a few hours and picked our limits plus let go a pile of just shorts...

Todd - A few years ago I fished eyes like 8 nights in a row. The brain starts to turn to pudding but you can jig jedi style with your eyes closed...

In reference to Todd's meltdowns when the fish are nowhere to be found and all of a sudden after 4 hours of relentless fishing you catch that 1st crappie of the day and you think your on to something and you go to throw a cast right back in there but this time you miss and get hung up, so now your [PoorWordUsage] and your fishing buddy throws in there as you start retying your break off your buddy hooks up with one and another, and another right after the other.

In the mean time the smoke is coming from your partners ears not because he's retying oh noooo. It's the fact that he is also trying to control the boat position as the wind picks up 5 mph while he's tying.

All this while the guy in the front of the boat is telling him instructions to get the boat pack in position. grin Yeah Todd and I have made some minny classics out there. Definitely "Grumpy Old Men" material laugh

My son Josh and I went to the beach last night and fished the wall and the bathhouse area and caught NADA! I did see a couple eyes and bullheads with my headlamp, cruising the sand by the bathhouse but no biters

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
