Dark Cloud
Oh, he reads this. But hes the busiest retired person ever - he trout fished 3 days this week, went to the gym 3 times, planted apple trees, started working the garden, plus a trip to the casino... The weather does look great for the next 4 days. Sunday is gonna be the day to fish. Water temps will have risen enough to make the fish real active along with a few days of stable weather in a row. Tomorrow im scaming out of work at lunch and we are makeing a trip down the Delaware to flyfish for wild smart trout. Any yahoo(ie- AW) can catch bluegills
Dark Cloud
Anyone fishing??? Friday afternoon Tank and I snuck out in the afternoon. He caught 5 or 6 trout, I ate a goose-egg. Saturday was kinda quiet. Beth and I did a little mountain bikeing. Got chased/attacked by a dog on our ride. The ordeal ended with no bloodshed but I thought he meant business. Sunday afternoon we fished a nearby pond and cleaned up on the gills. I was getting them well on the flyrod and a black nymph fished deep. Beth was chucking around a bobber with small jigs. Most were medium-ish but some were solid... I also caught a few small but prety rainbows... AW - How much did you enjoy that sweep of the evil empire this weekend? Did you have to be tranquilized when that game tying homerun was hit on friday or when Yuke hit the game winner?
iceman1603
Finally got the Grumman out today. Thanks again for all your help Todd. No pics but we got a few sunnies and a few blues and a bunch of slippery, slimey slime dart, hammer handle, no good for nothing, worthless waste of skin, dirty rotten Pickle heads... oh yea and a couple small perch too!!! And I just remembered the worms are still in the truck!!!

I pulled in there around 5pm Sunday to see if the craps were in yet but there were 15 cars in the lot. Figured the stocking truck must have paid a visit so I turned right around and fished a couple of the coves off the back road at the point. iceman1603
Does anyone ever float fish creek? Thinking about putting the grumman in just north of Taga soke at Mayfair campground and working our way down to the canal. Some say "it should be ok" others say "not a good idea" I know it changes constantly, and there are obsticles but Just looking for an experienced opinion here..ThanksCali
Thunderman
Went down to the barge canal just before dark last night caught 0 fish.Their were people fishing for silver bass and just crushing them .I went down again this morning caught 3 waldo's and lost 2 within 1/2hr to 45min That was way too easy .It will probably change come saturday the boat traffic will be like going to NY city about rush hr .I think the creek fishing will be good as long as you find some good holes there is allot of bait every where . iceman1603
Fished the creek from shore round the campground all most of the day sat. After we figured out what they wanted, ended up with a decent bunch of fish. No monsters but all but 1 we caught was legal size.
Dark Cloud
We had a decent weekend here. The fishing was slow for the opener but we worked and picked some fish. We knew after a few cast at daybreak that something was off. But we wern't surprised as that was a solid front that came through overnight after a bunch of days with stable weather. We hopped around picking fish here and there and ended up catching a dozen eyes sat. This morning we fished a bit and picked 8 more. Tank took the cake with one pushing the 2 foot mark but most were 15-17 inchers... Pretty fish... Go, be free... We are going to hit another spot after sundown when the yahoos get pushed away by the dark...
