IFallsRon
Can I mix in the fix-it citation for having the fire burner on wheels in the back driveway? Seems the city has passed a new ordinance/fee. Used to be that you needed a $20 permit for in-ground rings but that has spread to all recreational fires. I previously skated with an out-of-service Weber. 17FishMan
Sandmannd, thats my main point, If history has taught us anything the walleye stamp funds will NOT stay withthe DNR. If all of our money stayed with the DNR one of two thins wouyld happen. Either we would have cleaner water, better fishing, ect or our license fees would be substatialy lower.Think about this, how far do you think a state surcharge on all movie tickets to benifit the DNR would get. My guess is not very far. But we continually allow our State Reps. take our outdoor dollars and spend them on whatever they feel neccessary. Not how I would do it if I was making the rules. TonkaBass
i read in the outdoor news that they are trying to get rid of minnesota stocking programs. ???
LMITOUT
Unless that's something different, the legislature introduced a bill this year that would look at using private hatcheries instead of having state managed hatcheries. The thought process behind this is they believe it will save money since private industry is typically more efficient than govt. controlled programs. wastewaterguru
Guys, let's watch the direction of this post. Pierbridge was simply looking to make a humorous post and to see how many others might be purchasing more licenses/fees than he was. Let's keep it that way.Gary, I can't compete with that receipt. Resident angling and small game only for me. Hopefully lots of resident angling.
TruthWalleyes
Had a fish fry last night and my buddy who doesn't fish but a few times a year says, "man, this is great. Best thing is it's the cheapest meal i've had in a long time. All we had to buy was the breading..." I laughed and said that it was my most expenive meal! Every fish i brought home is a result of spending money on a boat, gas, camera, marcum, gps, and don't forget all the bait and fishing tackle! Expensive meal....worth every penny! LOL,Right on Truthwalleys!!! I always say that Walleye in the store at $12.00 a pound is a steal if all your looking for is fish to fry.. On the other hand if your looking for a good time and lots of memorys... MN outdoor sporting is a steal if you ask me. I don't even dare add up all my hunting/fishing costs per year. My wife I'm sure could give you a pretty good idea what they are though
