RK
Hiya - So who's all going this weekend? I may try to pop over there sometime, assuming A.) I don't have a heart attack while shoveling snow and B.) nobody realizes I'm a 'muskie guy' and tosses me out Cheers, Rob Kimm

Daze Off
I'm planning on checking it out - was going to get a table and get rid of some stuff but discovered I had misunderstood the flier. Thought a table was $12 and it was - but they did not make it clear enough for me that you had to also rent a booth to put it in for $50.....duh..... CarlWBL
I'll be there. I want to hear David Dudley speak. I wonder what his topic is...
TonkaBass
Sounds like I will be there with a buddy of mine. Does anyone know exactly how to get there?
East Rush Rules
I think im going to head down there. I believe its down by the capitol, a couple of blocks away.
RK
Tonka - It's right off 94 on the N side and between Cedar and Robert St. If you're coming from the west the easiest is probably to get off on Kellog/Marion, go N to University, take University east to Robert, S on Robert, then right on 12th (12th is a one-way that runs east to west). Other ways to do it, but that's the simplest route around the capitol...

East Rush Rules
How was it? Anybody get any deals? How was Mr. Dudley? Unfotunatly i had to work today and couldn't make it!
TonkaBass
Dudley gave an awesome seminar, one of the best I have heard! He talked about the thought process and also how he HATES a limp noddle for a crankbait rod and prefers to use a stiff heavy flipping stick because he doesn't believe that you loose any more fish with it but feel the bottom much better. He also uses a stiff rod for lipless fishing.
champion198elite
The swap meet was good. Dudley's talk was great, but then I got to go and have lunch with him before he flew home!! Thats right folks,5 of us got to spend 2hrs talking techniques, lure presentation, rod set-ups and line selection and whatever else we wanted to cover with him!! He's a stand-up guy. Tonka, I meant to call ya and tell ya where we were but I guess I got caught up talk and listen to him for those 2hrs. What a way to spend a cold winter day. OLY
I got 5 dt's and an x-rap for 20 bucks, I thought that was a heckuva deal.
paintbrush
Dudley gave a great talk. He could be kind of comical at times. Got the impression he is not a big Fritz fan. Show itself was ok for being the first time having it. Some good deals to be had.

Show itself was ok for being the first time having it. Some good deals to be had. At lunch I asked him about Fritz and he said that there was by no means a fued between him and Fritz, he just doesnt like the way he'll talk about "targeting big fish" and he said Fritz can intimaidate people by the way he explains how to use a crankbait to the point, guys think they cant do it. Dudley actually gets his boats from Fritz. Dudley said their cool with each other.

Daze Off
Only thing that interested me was a used St Croix Avid spinning rod that I mistakenly did not buy when I had the chance and some jigs. Was kind of disappointed in it but hope it grows and attracts more booths. Great idea! Was done in 30 mins and took off, not wanting to wait another 30 mins for Dudley. Sounds like I made a bad decision on that one.
