Art Shanty Ice Houses

I have a relative who has a project at Medicine Lake and the Art Shanty Ice houses. This has been going on for I think 6 years. Very interesting and fun to see, I believe it runs into the middle of February. Lots of really cool things going on in the various houses. Kids would have a ball at some of these. There is a Lake Research shanty, a knitting shanty, working Theatre, Radio station, distillery, pedal power to make hot drinks, karaoke and many more! It is really a pretty cool thing.

#1 Taxi Shanty. You can ride from the parking lot to the ice on the weekends in this one.

#2 The SS Mondale.

#3 The Art Post. The world's only Post Office on ice! Delivers the mail for the Shanty's.

#4 Snap Shot. A studio for photos, video, etc.

#5 Sweat and Drink. A sauna/distillery technology that can make Medicine Lake drinkable or open up your pores!

#6 Not sure what this one was.

#7 The third level.

Those are some pretty interesting fish house's.

I think most have a specific purpose, the taxi, post office, etc. I didn't get a chance to go in any the night I took these, they were closing up for the day. As far as fishing I don't really know. I would guess a few of them you might be able to fish out of.
