TonkaBass
Is that 7'6" a really heavy action as well? I would have to hold one before I can tell
olski
One thing I would say is don't just go by how the rods feel off the rack. I think most stores would let you put a reel on them to get a feel, then see what you think. I said the same thing until I put a reel on a couple then they felt pretty good. Now that being said, I left the store, went home, putzed with my $220.00-$250.00 Lamiglas rods and they felt alot better. Everything but the $220-$250 part. So I guess for $90-$110 they aren't so bad.
zepman
The 7'6" Pitching rod is a MH. I believe they also have a 7'11" Flippin rod that is H.
champion198elite
Thats correct. Just ordered both of them yesterday!!
TonkaBass
champ, you'll have to let me know how you like the 7'11" H. If its like the other st.croix fliping sticks it should be pretty stout!
Cecil
I have the 7-11 in Legend Tournament and love it. It's a Heavy, but it's moderate. I can use it for flippin and swimbaits.

bemidjibasser
Cecil, I just got the 7'11" LT blank the other day. I plan to use it for swimbaits and maybe slopping with frogs. Have you tried it out for that yet? Do you think it would be to stout for some of the BIG cranks like dd22's or the dt20's?
Cecil
Works great for swimbaits. I have not tried it for frogs yet, but I think its too long for that. The hookset would not be quick enough and that's a lot of rod to try and "work" baits with. I think it would be too stout for the bigger cranks. Tip is fine for them but after that, there's not much give. And I would want to throw 12# test for those and 20-25 for everything else I would use that rod for. If you are building it, I would look at adding some weight to the butt end. Any rod that long can benefit from some balance weights and a rod balancer doesn't adapt itself real well to that handle style. I would love to be able to unscrew the butt section and add a couple weights. Instead I am going to go to a little heavier reel than the one I have on there now. Going from a Curado to a Revo. 1.5 ounce diff should help feel.
TonkaBass
Just looked at the mojo bass rods today, and the are really nice feeling rods for the $. I really liked the 7'9" H swimbait rod. It's like a pool que! The other rods are also really nice, including the dropshot rod. I just might end up with one in my boa this year, we'll see... RiverBassGuy
I put a reel on the 6'6" Jig-n-worm this weekend and I have to say I like the feel a lot better than I originally did. It's just technique specific premier with a split grip handle. The Blanks are identical.
