Stormy deer

Like Steve I have few deer shots except these were shot during Saturday's snowy weather. These were taken in the Grand Rapids area at a relatives house who happens to be feeding the local population. Friday night we counted around 28. Their backyard is nothing but woods for 1/2 mile so it was relatively easy shooting.

On my way back from shooting hockey I noticed these guys feeding in a lonely looking field. The shot looks almost the same converted to BW so I just left it.

Nice shots, Dan. Anything with antlers coming in? My folks had two buck coming into the yard, but both have dropped already.

That third shot is a good one only because it looks like she is trying to get you to move or she just smells you but the last is the one I like the most cause it sets the mood.

I like that third one as well. The bucks that hang around my back yard typically drop antlers by Christmas, New Year at latest.

I think a few of these were bucks by their aggressive behavior, so I am guessing there were at least a few that had shed. I did see two after dark with antlers on though.

That Last one looks to be a buck that has dropped already. You can see the circles of snow where they used to be.
