Rosa's new ride

Recommended Posts

2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT - Sticker price in April 08 was $30,540, it's loaded to the "T" dual screen DVD entertainment system, SIRIUS Satellite radio, power sliding doors including trunk, Stow-N-Go seating, Dark Slate Gray Seats, power/heated mirrors. This thing has a video camera when you put it in reverse you can watch it backing up from the touch screen radio, that was awesome.. 2nd row power windows, basically more schtuff than will ever use.

It started at $17,900 and they came back with $2800 for my van laugh and knocked an additinal $500 off for a grand total of $14,600 with the savings we purchased the 5 year Dodge max plan for service so that's basically free maintenace for the next 5 years.

It's a fleet rental with 18,800 miles and a clean history...

Rosa wasn't crazy about the color but the deal was done when they clipped an additional $500 off.

I was looking for $1500 for trade in max so $2800 blew me away grin

With the payment plan @ 63 mos it will be $309 monthly that included the extended service plan. Right in our payment window cool

Here's a pic of Rosa's car we pick it up Monday after work..

I'll call you guys on the "sets". Momma is reminiscing her last day with the Olds (6 good years with her).

I of course am eager to take the Olds over to give it an ice fishing overhaul as soon as she get's back from grocery shopping this morning... grin

Sweet ride and deal Tim. Looks like I'll have a new ride for fishing and camping soon. Gonna buy my sister's Outback in the near future. More room to put things and all wheel drive. Not so new, but a whole lot less and since it's a play vehicle...Maybe new next year.

Ray, the Outback is an incredible multi-tasker. I know a few people that have them and...they are bad ar$e! All wheel drive and have the room of an SUV. Can't go wrong!

Timmy...when are the seats coming out and the Traps in confused

Doug the seats are almost out of the Silhouette and the rubber mat ready to go in. Problem I have is my friend Tom that covers my buildings when I'm on leave fell down his basement stairs Saturday morning and broke his elbow and screwed up his back. Took morphine in the E.R. and is on Vikadin and Demerol and is off all week so I am stuck here at work but plan on fishing New Years Day if we have some good ice.

So I will finish everything on the van Wednesday evening and I will be ready to roll Thursday...

This van reminds me more of my brother-in-laws Jeep and I'm already looking forward to paying it off so I can get it grin Took her for a spin tonight and it's absolute creme puff... Amanda couldn't wait to put her Bratz DVD in the player. laugh

a cheeky comment or two since the ice is thin. However, rode by Delta, DC's favorite no man's land, and there were 3 guys on the winter entrance side standing together . . . so some ice held up. Looks like they were working tip ups. Aw gees now Timmie Tip Up will be running out there . . . Report of a few out on Moreice but only place to get on was by the culvert . . .shoreline was shot. That was all yesterday . . .

    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
    • The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there.  About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
    • It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway.  Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work.  You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water.  When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
