potknot
How many of you use the same stand/location for firearms as you do for archery?
96trigger
I do, don't think twice about it.
DonBo
Absolutly! You've been scouting all season for the best spot, why would you go somewhere else?Only way I would move is if your favorite spot is along a field edge. IMO you need to get back off the edge into some thicker escape cover.Good luck!
archerystud
I'm usually very close. I tend to move my gun stands a bit to cover more tails since I can shoot much further.
bmc
Definitely, unless of course you're in a super thick area with limited visibility.Brian
buck 037
We use basically the same stands, some stands were we patterned a buck may be in a more defined area, we move them to give us more visibilty with guns, but there still in general area once rut gets going you never know quit were they will show up.Except they will show up looking for does. Neighbor_guy
My best archery stand is mabe 55 or 65 yards from the stand I normaly rifle hunt from on opening morning. This year I will be hunting from the bow stand durring the first weekend of the rifle season. I hope to get a deer with the handgun this season and my bow stand puts the deer at a range inside of 35 yards. My "best" rifle stand is left alone during the first weekend and due to the way it is set up it is only a rifle stand. So in that regard no, I do not hunt from an archery stand there. The Donk
Yep, although it pains me to see a nice deer 100 yards out that would be an easy shot when I have the string in my hands...
