Bassin this weekend!

Managed this one on Saturday. Threw everything in the box just about before finding out the only thing fish wanted were small cranks. Frustrating to figure that out after hours of using the typical bigger fall baits.

Slow for me. Made it to Minnewashta on Sun and tossed rattle traps and got some pike (2 lil guys), but more looking for the green coontail and cabbage. Found some cabbage in the 8-12 foot range and tossed my jig and caught a 15" bass. Sweet we found them. Worked that area for 45 mins and nada. Went deep, went shallow -and nada. Saw bait everywhere and carp, just no bass cept for one. Pike liked the yo-yo action of the rattletraps.

Did really well on a 4 hour trip Saturday AM. Caught about 20 smallies, most in the 17"-18" range biggest 19". Lost a couple that looked like they would push the 20" mark.

I had 44-45 on Lake Spooner, couple degrees warmer on a flowage fishing skis yesterday.

Green in Kandiyohi County was at 48 Saturday and 50 on Sunday.

Got out for a few hours this afternoon on Chisago. After spending nearly an hour figuring them out we got a half dozen up to 19" on stickbaits in 2-5ft. Nothing on jigs or cranks main-lake. Might have taken a Senko-type when we found them-but when you catch a few with an hour to go-and nice ones- why switch. River tommorrow and maybe a stop back at the lake.

Got out on my brothers lake saturday was awsome caught 12 bass with 2 over 6 lbs and one of those being just a bit over 7 but only got one more bass over the next two days it was very frusterateing
