Tippman
After seeing the thread about soft sided boxes vs. the hard style I figured it's time I better switch over. So what are your favorite brands or models? I'm thinking it will be nice if I can convert my 2 hard sided boxes into one soft box.
polarsusd81
I have a Gander Guide Series bag that holds 6 3700 size boxes. I love it. Never had any issues with it. It has some zippered compartments that are weather resistant, and a huge pocket on the back. Bass soft plastic jerk-baits in the back pouch, crappie and gill plastics in a side, walleye ringies and gulp leeches in a side pouch, and more bass plastics in the front pouch. The front pouch also holds the fishin tools and the headlamp. It has a nice shoulder strap that comes in handy when I need to carry it anywhere. I haven't weighed it, but I would imagine in is about 40 lbs or so.There are other bags out there, Cabelas makes some good ones, as does BPS. I picked the Gander one because it was on sale at the time I needed to get something better going last year. I wouldn't be without one now. Lotwfisher
A friend of mine just ordered the smaller shimano borona. I will be able to check it out next weekend and see how it is. I just have the large shimano water proof bag. I really like how much stuff it carries and also how it keeps my jackets dry and such.
maddowg1192000
is the plano flipsider considered a hardside or softside. If it is softside I love it, so many side compartment to store extra stuff.
setterguy
Bass pro has one that is great, don't know the name of it. I found the exact same design at Wal-mart for 35 bucks,(they were 70 at BP) It holds 6 large plano boxes, and has enough room for almost all my non muskie tackle. I think its called an Okeechobee flats?
goblueM
there's a lot of good ones, anything that can hold lots of clear plastic boxes is good in my book. heck even a small gym bag that is just the right size would work in a pinch
DTro
I was all over looking at these recently. From what I found, the best balance of quality vs price was found at Wally World. (funny as I was typing this I read setterguy's post above). That's the one Okochobee Fats. I think I got mine for $
Matt Johnson
I've become a big fan of the Shimano series of soft-sided tackle storage systems. High-quality gear thats designed for the serious angler. The binders are tough to beat for housing all your plastics and hooks. Keeps things very organized...
Matt C
Just went out and picked up one at GM today. A GM brand...made for them by Flambeau. Nice and big like my old plastic cooler.Going to take some time to get used to, but I think I will like it. Just have to refresh myself on where things are. Loft
I just picked up my first soft side the Plano 3372 it was on sale for 25 at MF reg price 35 and it will hold 4 3700 boxes or 6 of the 3771 series. I like so far as I can put the ice fishing boxes in the bag and not have to bring up a second box.
