Missouri Bass

Here in MO we are lucky to fish most of the year, with no restrictions on seasons. Mo. has a lot of conservation lakes, some are only 1 acre, most are pretty good size, but they all are pretty good fishing. There are some with really nice bass in some, 2-6#.

The bass haven't come to the banks yet, in fact we have had so much rain the lakes are about 16 ft high. The water is still about 56 degrees, hope they go down before the spawn or we will lose a lot of eggs, when the corp lowers the water. a down side to haveing reservors. Hope to fish some in MN this summer

I was talking to one of the triton reps a few weeks ago at the North west sports show and he told me about how much rain you guys have been getting. It's run real, it will make it hard to find the fish spawning. Where are you thinking of coming and fishing in Minnesota???

I hear it was up 32 FT when I was in Missouri last week. I also heard that the water was touching the Kimberlin City bridge. I didn't believe it. But when I got back, a buddy FWDed me the picture. It was TRUE! Search google for Kimberling City Bridge Pictures and you can find some at normal level and some where it's touching. AMAZING!

We will bve in the Forest Lake area, my mother has a place on So. Lindsrtom that we are trying to sell. We have a lot of family up there. I see it is going to get cold (45) again. I don't know how high The Rock was, but I know it was going over the spillway at the dam, with more rain on the way, [PoorWordUsage], dry for 2 years, now it won't shut off, hope we get some in July.

WOW! Thanks for telling me about the pics - sent them to the other guys we went down with last year - could not even get a boat underneath it!

Here you go.

Link 1 These are some pictures of what appears to be about normal water levels. Again, keep in mind this is quite a ways from the dam. Maybe 25-30 miles?

Link 2 Here is a picture of the high water.

32 feet high at the dam, so maybe 20 feet high here?

One more thing to add, which I thought was a funny story. Not only are the port-o-potties under water in many places, some of them have 18 foot of water over top of their ceilings!!

Angler 1: "So how'd you catch your fish?"

Angler 2: "Well I was drop shotting shtters in about 24 foot of water."

HA!

I have heard that some of the Hummingbird SI users are gettign some awesome practice in. A buddy told me that on Bull he's able to go over the parking lots and see the hand rails on the walk ways, including each and every post. Not to mention the parking curbs (the things that stop you when you pull up in a spot, whatever they are called).

Just checked on an old electronic version of Hot Spots Map that I have on the computer out of curiousity and it says 14 miles from the dam - measured along the White River Channel.
