not sure I have any picts... and caught and snagged are two different things..

I caught a perch last summer on a crankbait in the lipps that was smaller than the crankbait I caught it on... othewise, look at my avitar, ice fishing.. caught/snaged a smelt while fishing lake trout... and the worst part was, it was the biggest thing I caught.. LOL

My avatar shows a humongous walleye from LOTW. Additionally I caught a bass that was the same size as the crankbait. My buddy and I have a running gag that I am trying to catch each major gamefish while it is still under five inches.

I didn't snag either. They were cleanly caught, only they didn't put up much of a fight.

I had one about the size of the OP's perch. Only I never hooked it, I let a big bucktail a little too far into the weeds and the perch fell out of the clump of weeds and right into the boat as I was cleaning the bucktail off.

I'm so proud.... The whole trip was 30 degrees below normal temps and the pike fishing was difficult. At least I caught something!!

The fish on the left is my crappie minnow and the fish on the right is the poor perch who didn't make it to his first birthday. Thing was, I felt the tap when I snagged him and actually set the hook. grin.gif
