Lindy Lee
What are some of your favorite colors for fishing pike (aka snot rockets)? My stand by spoons are red/white or copper. Have also had good luck with lime/white and black/white. Best weedless spoons that I have used are the ones made by Fish Trap.
Nick Kuhn
It depends, in clear water I find that often the brightest yellow/orange you can find is the ticket. Other times black/nickel seems to work really well. Red and white has always produced pretty consistently as well.

Neighbor_guy
Well.... My first go to's tend to be white and red. Either a white and red silver minnow with a 4" white grub trailer, or a White and red bucktail. If those are not working or the water is stained unpainted spoons, brass or chrome. From there it gets a little complicated
Steve Foss
I have had far and away my best luck in most conditions with chartreuse. Especially true of spinnerbaits.

Lindy Lee
fishin58, no offence on the pike nickname. I heard it once and thaught it was something different. I like to fish (& eat) them just as much as the next guy. It also looks like someone said the same thing to you in your signiture LOL. Can't wait to get out there and start chasing them again. See ya on the water.
cjac
In the pike forum, we can affectionately refer to them as Snot Rockets, just nowhere else! Colors: Boy, it's hard to say when in reality they eat METAL lures! Really, I have a ton of white and chartruece spinnerbaits with various blade combinations/colors/sizes. Cranks: I seem to gravitate to firetiger or bright lures in general, I know this will make b1gf1sh1 cringe.... They just work for me! Maybe because I'm often in stained water? I just know... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"! I also like white cranks with red heads. I have a 6' Swim Wizz that has lots of teeth marks, it's done well for me. Maybe because I'm often in stained water? If it ain't broke, don't fix it"! i've fished firetigers next to people or trolling and their rods bend like trees in the wind. mine like a pool stick in the wind. it's just crazy. after a few hundred times of those pats on the back and snickering words of encouragement'' you'll get em next time''. i gave up on it. chartruse is the same story. i believe in the if it aint broke don't fix it. but... if it's broke, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! if i ever put another firetiger anything on my line it'll be too soon ... i do like the softer fluorecent colors like orange, blue, red, red-orange though. green painted on a medium solid gold with bright white in spot's basecoat aint bad either. real cool looking. but so far the fish hate it.
