Northlander
Fisky we should compare notes. Do you have pics of those doctored lures? Maybe we can hook up on the ice up there. I love LOW in the winter. Best fishing anywhere in my opinion. [email protected]
fiskyknut
Well I don't have any pics but I have a new digital camera so I reckon I can snap a couple and send them your way. Wife has the camera and she went to GFKS for the afternoon so it would'nt be till late tonite or tomorrow before I could send them your way. I'll do that. It'd be great to meet you sometime when your up this way, shoot me an email or a post on the LOTW forum when your heading up. I'm somewhere on the ice 3 or 4 days a week usually thru the winter.Regards....Fisky

Maybe I should have said I think you might, new Kodak easyshare digital camera and dock may not be that easy for a guy like me! fiskyknut
Well Jeff, as a fisherman, and after being married as long as I have, patience is something I have learned! Some things just make me chew at the bit I reckon.I don't know if I mentioned this to you last year but I need gold backs on the Perch/FT as is on the Jr.'s. I'm not sure, but every Perch/Ft AE in regular size is chrome backed that I have picked up vs. gold on the jr's. Is it possible the regular is also availiable with the gold back and I'm not finding them?Thanks....Fisky

Twitter
THANK YOU !!!! I just placed my order Bring on the ice....!!Hey Fisky.....I think these are going to be great for perch !! (maybe even with a drop rig ....might just have to experiment a little) Maybe we can try them out on a few of your secret spots this winter [This message has been edited by Twitter (edited 11-20-2003).]
fiskyknut
Twitter, I could'nt agree more! I know you've seen on the LOTW forum where on my deadsticks and bobberrods I'm a big fan of slab type spoons with a dropper. Those 1/8th ouncers work great for this rig for both Walleye/Sauger as well as Perch. The new small ones are gonna be just perfect for my midwinter Perchin' on the deep flats. Like Scott said the new gold colored Glo Devils are gonna be hot up here, this I am certain of and I need to get my hands on some soon! I wish I could get down to that bluewater place to stock up a bit, that buy 3 get 1 free would be sweet to catch.Twitter I do plan on looking for that crown bag flying on the pond this year. Maybe think about coming up later in the winter too and we'll go catch some of them JUMBOS out on the flats, good mix of fishes out there too, plenty of Walleye and Sauger come thru the hole when I'm Perchin' too!Keep in touch Twitter.Fisky
Twitter
fisky,I'm counting the days until the December 19th when I know I'll be up. I may be up the weekend before too....I got a call last night that a few friends have extra room in a Borderview house the weekend of 12/13 and invited me to share their house and lodging. So, if the ice cooperates it'll be tough for me to stay away those first few weekends !!I'll be sure to remember the Crown Royal "flag" and your rock-n-reel when I come up. I'd love to spend some time chasing perch on LOW this winter.....a couple years ago the first fish through the hole for a buddy one morning on Zipple was a perch so big it looked like a large mouth bass coming through the hole !! It was bigger than any the saugers caught that day.Shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance and we can exchange cell #'s and make sure to hook up during early ice this year.[email protected]See ya in a few weeks !! Twitter
Hooray !! I got my card of 1/16 oz. Glow Devils yesterday and they look terrific !!!I used the larger ones last year for perch and for walleye occasionally, but I expect these smaller ones are going to be tied to more than one of my rods all year long. I can see these new smaller ones working really well for crappies on URL (maybe Friday )....especially the red glow. The red glow is REALLY intense !! Nice work Jeff !! The perch pattern and the white/blue glow look cool too ! Quality lures with good quality red hooks too !! I own a lot of scenic tackle and every year your products get better !!Twitter
