There is a landing right at the Yelow Lake Lodge. You may have a hard time getting a boat under the bridge to access Little Yellow (see above).

Walleye could be anywhere from right in the weeds out to 16-20 fow. The entire northern shoreline can be good. I also have had luck out from Jeffries Landing on the eastern shore, also south of the landing at the Lodge.

I have caught big sunfish while fishing walleye in deeper water. I believe they also catch the in the weeds around Jeffries Landing. Not much of a sunfish guy...crappies though, don't even ask me my hotspots for them.

Found walleyes to be very scattered this weekend. Caught them on the east, north and western shorelines from 10-16 fow. Could not buy a bite on crawlers, all came on leeches.

Anyone up for a little get-together on Yellow one of these weekends??? I gotta great place for a little bar-b-q before or after.

Anyone up in the area that wants to learn a little about the lake? Or just meet some of the other FM'rs that fish up this direction?

My youngest and I will be up on Friday and maybe Saturday and hope to do as well as last weekend. We caught quite a few walleyes, northerns, jumbo sunfish and some beautiful smallies. Mitch caught a 16,17 and a 20" that kept him busy for 15 minutes on his ultra light. Here's a few pics.

The funny thing was I thought it was a big sheephead. I had this monster on for at least 15 minutes, a half hour before and then he hooks into a big one. I got ready to net it a couple of times and when I finally got a glimpse of it we both swore it was another sheephead. I left him for a while and told him to play with it for a while until it tired out. I finally took a better look and then we both got a little excited. We took a quick pic and let er go.

Friday was flat calm, and HOT! Water temp was 85. Still managed one keeper eye at sundown, along with several shorts and a mixed bag of other species.

Saturday morning action was much better, but still only two eyes in the box. Then the wind came up, and WOW did it blow! Watched the waves crashing into shore the rest of the weekend.

Planning on hooking up with evenrude and maybe LoonASea next Sunday the 5th. Anyone else remotely interested in that???

did good on yellow this week. got a couple nice smallies and got about 20 walleyes my self and my cousins got about 20 also and about 20 more with my family. Thanks for showing me around the lake Don. Leeches and lindys were the key this week and it caught all of my fish. here are some pictures of the smallies. the biggest walleye was a 22 incher but my cousin has the picture or else i would post it.

Good job! I am so jealous of you for getting to stay up all week, and what perfect weather you had. Glad you got off the links long enough to get on some fish. Nice meeting you.

Great smallies!

So, how deep were you getting the eyes?

Yellow finally turned on for me this weekend. Caught well over two dozen walleye on Sunday in only 6 or 7 hours. Lot's of shorts for sure, but plenty of keeper size thrown in to make it interesting.

Sunday morning was slow but most fish were over the 15" minimum. Went back in the afternoon with a friend about 5:00 and started catching them right away. They were as active as I have ever seen them. 15 inchers were pulling drag and one 17+ incher I thought I had on a musky! My livewell was full of 1" perch that were puked up.

Sunday mornings catch.

Nice sweatshirt huh? Let me know, I'll hook you up with one just like it!

All fish came from 10-15 fow, lindy rigging leeches with either a red hook/bead or red or orange hot hooks with a chartreuse bead.

Got to fish for just a couple hours this morning before I had to come home frown only caught one, but was 18" smile!

It was really hard to come home today, can't wait till Friday.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
