Sometimes it just doesn't matter. My buddy who lived in S. Minneapolis had his Harley chained to the floor in his garage and some scum took it. Some months later he was called to ID some or any parts and sure enough it was his bike. I'm pretty sure it was a bunch of choppers who were jailed. It ended up pretty well for him as he used the insurance $ to buy a boat.

Sorry to hear about the theft man, I've just been through the same deal just recently, so I know what you're going through. Other than watching the local sights (hsolist.....etc) the only other thing I can suggest is to check out any pawn shops around your area, maybe you will get lucky.

Good Luck in your search...

Sorry to hear about your loss Burnham,

I'm a country boy and use to leaving everything (house, car, etc) unlocked and out in the open. Married a city girl almost 7 years ago after moving into town with my lovely bride had to do a 180 on my line of thinking of not locking things. Too many people who think that if it's sitting out that its up for grabs. Just this last summer, some teenager were going around town stealing lawn ornaments, including ours that my late fater-in-law had gotten for us. Lawn Ornaments?!!?? Then even got brave and raided my neighbor's beer fridge in his back garage and made off with almost 3 cases of leine's.

Police finally got the little idiots and arrested them. Got back our lawn ornaments too. Best part was that the little idiots had to listen to victim impact statements from all the people they had robbed. My wife made it quite clear how the theft made her feel and the sentimental attachment she had for those lawn ornaments. Don't know if hearing from the victims did any good but they are doing community service/probation.

Burnham, I hope you find justice and I really hope you get all your gear back.
