Just in general.. LOL... I have a horrible addiction.. and its Archery!

As of this morning, I now own 7 bows.. Why on earth I need that many I dont know.. but hey, a guy could have a worse habbit..

Anyway, I'll take picts of it once it arrives on my door step.. heck, maybe I'll line em up and take a family picture.. LOL

New bow.. Hoyt UltraElite.. cant wait to get her and sight her in.. I think it will be a spot and 3D killin machine!

I've got 5 compounds, 3 stick bows and a recurve. Last weekend I was ogling the new Hoyt Katera XL. If they had it in left hand I might have left the store with yet another bow.

I'm just glad firearms don't evolve as quick as bows do. The custom stocked left handed Remington model 700 in 30/06 I got for my 14th birthday is just as good or better than what is on the market today. I'll probably never buy another deer rifle before I die. On the other hand the bow I was shooting when I was 14 is darn near laughable by todays standards. Even a bow that is 5 years old is often times light years off current technology. Sometimes I wonder if it's because archery companies stand to profit by making improvements a year at a time instead of releasing the best possible product all at once. Who knows.

Great point Hub-... They have come a long ways in the last few years with archery.. faster, more forgiving, quieter!... Guns, like you said, maybe even arent as good as they were 20 years ago.. LOL

I dont think its the archery companies holding back... Its just they learn each year, and try to out-do!

part of the reason I got the new to me bow, my 1992 Hoyt ProStar Meridian just wasnt cutting it any more on targets....

Just had a thought, raffle off one of your old bows to <18yr olds on this site every time you buy a new one. Win-win for everybody. Promotes the sport to younger generation, you get a little $ for your used bow and satisfaction that you're helping out a youth that can't afford a better bow. Plus you get to buy a new one whenever you get the itch without any guilty feelings whatsoever!

Heat- thats a great idea... however I am a bit of a mutant... I'm 6'3"... and have monkey arms to boot.something like 74' wingspan.. 31" draw... and, although I am right handed, I am left eye dominant.. so I shoot left handed...

So, of the gazillion archers there are in the world, and the few that would want to shoot my hand me downs... There may be about a dozen in MN who are 31" draw and LH... LOL
