Let them have their noses in baseball, it keeps them out of the other stuff they shouldnt have their noses in!

The way I look at it was if the players did it before it was ilagal, who cares, admit you did it everyone did then! If it was afterwards then kick them out of baseball, to not play pro baseball again, then I bet that would prevent future players from doing it!

People we are talking about breaking federal laws. Steroids are illegal to possess without a prescription from a licensed physician. It is illegal for individuals to sell steroids.

This is why the Gov. is involved.

Clemens is just as guilty as the rest.

Napa,

The real reason the feds are in on this is the anti-trust exemption that MLB has. There is talk about a huge lawsuit of fraud and such with the players being juiced. Just what I am hearing in the Windy these days.

PS I love your avatar....Veddy Nice!

im not so sure if he is guilty or not. I wish i could believe him, but im just not sure. For everything that he has done for the game of baseball, and the player that he is on the field, i hope that its not true that he was taking HGH, becuase he was a class act all the time on the field.

Macnamar or whatever his name is claims to have physical proof now such as needles aand vials that will have Clemens DNA on it and HGH and steriods so we can see what comes of that tomorrow when he turns that in.

thats correct. I was watching SC tonight, and he said that back in 2000 and 2001, he kept everything for proof becuase he figured that Clemens would lie about the whole situation somewhere down the line.

Its going to be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

I have lost all respect for Clemens, what a tool! Now his smarmy mouthpiece is equating the Congressional Investigation with the Duke rugby player incident. Yea, let's throw the entire US Political structure under the bus so one over the hill egotistical blowhard whose only redeaming quality of his life was his ability to throw a rawhide sphere 60 feet 6 inches better than most people can keep his self centered ego in tact and try to be inducted into a hall of fame for said sport so that other like minded people whose abilities were less than his can go to this shrine and worship at his bronze likeness! Give me a friggin break!

What do you call 10,000 lawyers chained together at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean?.....A Good Start!

sounds like a real class act. Gives someone illegal steroids then keeps the evidence for almost ten years just in case the user lies about it. What was he thinking? I'll come forward with this in the future when my rear is the one sticking out. Now I read he claims he saw Clemens at a party he himself was not at.

Be careful which horse you saddle up with guys! I heard that they were both at that party along with wives and family but were not there the entire time. And as for keeping the evidence, sounds like a good business practice to me. If I were dealing with high profile figures in illegal substances I would keep whatever necessary if the feces ever hit the fan. You know the high profile person will always get the benefit of the doubt because they are a beloved figure and they know how to get face time in the press and play that "aw shucks fellers, it wasn't me" and "I never had sexual relations with that woman" line of garbage. There are no clean hands in this case but I don't believe for one moment that McNamee's are the only paws that are dirty!

Pier,

Just like Sammy, McGuire and Barry just took their Flintstone vitamins, right? I agree that the evidence would not make it in the court of law or kangaroo but it the court of public opinion it speaks volumes and that is what Roger the Dodger is trying to sway!

No! they along with Roger and thousands of others have taken performance enhancing drugs the problem is much more wide spread than the general public believes or WANTS to believe.

If you were to name your favorite modern day athletes Windy I would say its almost certain they have taken PED's and it is certain the have taken GREENIES.."SPEED"

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
