DomW
Go with a 6/0 weighted if you can find one, and I'd get the heaviest weight you can find. Otherwise, a 5/0 weighted would probably do.
Central Bassman
Make sure you get a few different size weighted hooks. A lot of guys say that you need to get the biggest and most heaviest weight and yes there is a time for that but sometimes you might want to roll a swim bait over the top of weeks in 4 foot of water and a little lighter weighted hooks would be key for that presentation. Check out HellaBass Blog or myspace page he has some pictures of swim baits rigged with different hooks.
TurnUpTheFishing
Im a little late, sorry. I found them at the Capra's booth. I got the only 4.5" pack they had. They had a few of the 3.5" ones left and they had quite a few of the really big ones (6"?). They also had the reaction strike which are cheaper but I dont think they look as good as other brands. TurnUpTheFishing
I was hoping to find a place with hollow bellies at the show so I could try to get a bargain on them. I didnt see any booth that had them.
Central Bassman
I didn't see any down there but Fleet Farms has them in some locations.
HellaBass
The only booth that had a few packs was the Berkley booth, and they were not selling, for display only.
Jakesbuds
So are you just supposed to reel these straight in or what? Maybe a few [PoorWordUsage] here and there? Is there a way that works better than another?
HellaBass
Steady retrieve, twitching these baits does not add much action
Central Bassman
Steady Retrieve with a few pauses to let the bait fall.

Those guys tend to use the Storm Wildeye Swim Shad a lot. It is a very similar bait. It is a paddle tail plastic, but it is molded over a jig head and is not weedless. It does produce though.... evinrude19
o i see i have tried those and i dont like them as much as the real swimbaits because they are weedless and i think that the storm ones have less action than others

AlwaysLearning
Dear Rjohnson:Thank you for testing and posting the results of all the swimbaits out there. This is good review and feedback for all of us. Greatly appreciate the efforts you put in this comparison test.Let me know your mailing address so I can send you samples of the tri-fin Kick Shad that quivers like a nervous baitfish.
