I knew someone would make this an "I hate the Packers" thread.

It would have been an amazing game to be at, let alone the Packers win, but the snow, Favre and Driver throwing snowballs and Grant putting his fumbles behind him and just plain going off!!!! Come on Giants!

I was out there for the game and it was worth every cent I spent on tickets. That game reminded me of a game I went to about 5 years ago against the Browns, couldn't see the field come the 3rd quarter. The Pack are going to be tough, they should handle the G-men like they did in week 2. I do like the Pack's chances against NE IF they beat the Bolts. I think the Packers DB's will be able to cover their wide receivers. People say, well Moss will eat them up. Well if I remember right it was McKenzie who kept getting burned and he is no longer on the team so it will be Mr. Harris covering him and he will get the job done.

I don't hate the Pack, but I don't think I will ever root for them mainly because of the way the announcers go out of their way to compliment Farve. I have all the respect in the world for #4 for what he has done but I just can't take it when Madden or someone else will take something Farve does and make it out into something more than it is. As an example, so no one thinks I am just out of my mind. In this weekends game, they went out of their way to talk about how Farve is just "so aware of his surroundings" because he was pointing at the replay on the "Tundra Vision" to get McCarthy to challenge a play. Like he was the only one to realize there was a replay board at the field. I guarantee you there were 72,000 fans and about 100 players and coaches who were also looking at that screen but the announcer wanted to give Farve credit like he was the first one to ever do that and probably installed the darn thing himself.

He is one of the greatest and I love to watch him play but it is the announcers that ruin it for me.

Come now, the packers d-backs will not be able to cover the pats recievers. They couldnt handle the cowboys recievers and their core is nothing compared to what the pats bring. Harris has looked absolutely silly against the best of the best recievers which is the caliber that Moss falls into. The CB's are good at the point of contact but with the way Brady's line gives him time to throw the ball once the recievers get passed the point of contact it will be over in a heartbeat. And lets not forget that Atari Bibgy is horrible in pass coverage. And lets not also forget that its much more than Moss and Stallworth. How will the nickel and dime backs handle Welker and Gaffney? And how will the LB's handle Big Ben Watson? No team yet has had the tools to stop the whole package that the pats bring. And now they are showing that they really can run the ball with Maroney as well. The saving grace for the pack if they get there is that the pats pass defense has shown alot of weakness lately and that Favre should light things up as well. The pack might actually be able to pull off the gameplan that the jags played out. Keep everything in front of you, tackle well, and stay away from the big play. Hope that in enough 10-12 play drives you can get a turnover or two. And unlike the jags, the packers can move the ball much better on offense and put a lot of points up as well. If the pack tries to blitz NE its over, Brady is a QB that hopes you will blitz and he will destroy it. But this discussion is pretty premature as well. I remember about 4 years ago when the pack were the hottest team in the NFC and many peoples pick for the SB and the vikings went in and knocked them down. The giants are playing some pretty good ball and are a totally different team from week 2. They could put some serious heat on Favre and could possibly make him throw a few up for grabs. The giants are no slouch and i dont see the pack rolling over them like in week 2 or like what they did against the seahawks.
