DonBo
Good news from deer camp! Wisconsin gun season is still going strong. A good buddy from our camp shot a dandy 10 pointer on Sunday. While capeing it for a mounting, he found a broadhead burried deep in it's shoulder. He hit this same deer last Sunday exactly one week ago, same time, same place. The buck was in fine shape and still running does.Always good to know a wounded deer is not neccessarily a dead deer.
fishermn
Good for Him! I have experienced the pain of losing a buck like that and I know how he felt. Glad to see that he did get a second chance!
DitchPickle13
That's great to hear; good for him! I too know the heartbreak of losing a deer like that while bowhunting...no second chance for me, but I appeared to catch the shoulder on the biggest buck of my life. It's the first deer I've shot and not recovered; not fun. I hope it's okay and walking the woods for another year!
