OK guys, as you could see I plainly suck. I can't figure out how people are mowing me down with a few shots and I'm unloading my gun on them and nothing happens. I feel like that kid in Pulp Fiction that comes out of the back room and unloads on Travolta and Samuel L yet hits nothing. They aim back and blow me away in a shot or two. I don't think I've scored over 25 pts in a round yet!!

Dude, I was so there at one time. Keep playing, you will eventually level up and increase your fire power and experience.

Go to the Barracks and check out the challenges. You can gain a lot of pts this way.

At the beginning, I just kind of camped out and got a few kills here and there. I was consistently at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Eventually I got more "perks" and increased my fire power.

It's tough to win a firefight with an inferior weapon.

Short bursts of the trigger. Full auto makes the guns kick more.

I was in the same boat. the biggest thing for me was the red (Contact Us Please) scope. Without that my aiming range was about 50ft, guys would pick me off from 200yds with an M16.

Keep using the same gun until you get 75? kills and you'll get the scope

I've got the red daught (word filter take that! lol) sight on two guns now but still feel like I'm shooting blanks at these guys while they drop me in one or two shots.

Do you guys shoot from the hip most of the time, or raise the gun and use the sights?

raise the gun, short bursts and aim for the head. Once you get the scope it's also much easier.

I also have pretty good luck with the full autos doing the ol spray and pray.

Don't forget your perks, they make a big difference. Try the increased health and or increased bullet damage.

That was another question....do you have to do anything to utilize the perks, or are they always in play automatically as long as you have them set as your 3 perks?

The perks are in play if the are setup.

For a bit use Juggernaut, that is increased health.....then deep impact or stopping power. Since I don't believe you are that leveled up.....

Whats with the prestige mode? any differences?

Prestige means you start over at lvl 1 and head back up. So you are a newb as far as weapons and perks, etc.

Basically, for the exchange of a "special symbol" next to your Gamertag, you get to start all over again from scratch.

From what I hear some people are on their 5th or 6th "special symbol". That is totally insane. I'm finally nearing my first, and I won't be starting over.

I like my fully equipped weapon arsenal.

Matter of fact I'm only using some of these weapons just to get the 1000 pts.

Some of them are pretty bad.....G3, any shotgun or sniper.

I really like the p90, M16, and M60 (w/grip).

My favorite perk class is:

P90 with ACOG

Smoke

Bandolier

Double Tap or Juggernaut

Martyrdom

What's everyone's favorite weapon....your go-to gun?

I've been using the M4 and just got the scope, but I wasn't really impressed with the scope. That G3 looks interesting but I'm not to that level yet. I dusted some guy the other day and picked up his gun but I didn't notice what kind it was. Sure shot nice though!

Right now the M16 and Acog is my best.......and well best.

Also using the M60 with Reddot or Grip....

Haven't gotten a whole bunch, need to get in a match with some of my friendly FM'ers on a team again that helped in the leveling up.....

Well, I'll definately be enjoying this game in PC mode as I don't have the urge to xbox it up. FPS has always been PC demanding imo. Anyone here with the pc version, reviews?? It looks sweet and may possibly rival BF2 from what I hear, which would be great.

I leveled up high enough to earn the M60 and that has completely changed my games now. I consistently score higher with that gun and actually have scored in the top 3 once in a while if I have a good match! Being able to call in a helicopter really runs the score up too if you are fortunate enough to get that many kills in a row.

The G3 is a garbage gun, IMO. I didn't know it was only a semi-auto until I finally got it and gave it a try. I quickly switched back to the M60 mid-round and got back to taking care of business.

Is there a way to have the grip AND scope/red-daught sight? It appears than you can't have more than one accessory at a time?

Planting claymores around corners is fun too.

I made lieutenant the other night and it's been slow going to get to the next level now.

yep, that was the same point that my game play changed as well.

My go to gun is now the P90

Here's another tip, on an open map in a game mode where people are charging (sabotage and domination), if you can sneak up and hide behind something, you can get away with shooting them in back for quite a while.

Using this tactic I was able to call in 3 Helo's in the same match and get a 17 kill streak.

I'm a fan of the M4 w/ red daught. The big machine guns seem too unwieldy for me.

if I'm on a map that is sniper-friendly, I like throwing the ACOG scope on it.

I'm waiting to get the other guns also. congrats on the Colonel!

I do have the pc version. I think the maps are too big on BF2 I love cod4 on the pc since I do not have a console game. I am surprised that the requirments for this game are not as hight as I thought they would be. I am in a squad and we have a server running in cod4 the pc version that is. I think this is the best game since Black hawk down. Some what small maps but thats up to the person playing. There isn't a presige mode on the pc though. Too me that really isn't a big deal. I wish that you could search for servers or have a buddy list like BF2/2142 did

Ill jump in on this post but i play it on ps3...MNsniper if anyone has the ps3 version..im a lvl 55 KDR is 2.08 and win 2 loss is 2.02 with a long streak of 24 still not sure if i wanna hit the prestige mode or not i love having all the weapons and perks available and i am not sure if a little rank symbol is worth giving all that up that said my favorite setups are m16 stopping power clymore or 3 frags (depending on map) with martydom..p90 stopping power 3 frags and steady aim or the barret 50 with claymores stopping power and iron lungs although reguardless of my name (had it since socom) i dont snipe to often on this game dont really care to camp alot mostly running and gunning i pretty much only play TDM,Domination or FFA i love the action on those games.
