bassNspear
Well boys and girls, the start is just around the corner, so everyone can place pictures here from and in the spear house. Please make sure that they are clean pictures as we all know that we cant have pictures of fish on the spear. Please no pictures of fish on the spear. Look forward to seeing some great photos for the season. Now we just need some ice. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Meat-Run
OH MAN!!! I love it. Do you mind if I steal your picture for my desktop? I need to take this sport back up. Can you guys take pictures just of your spear hole with your sucker and decoy this weekend for me? I just might need to get a dark house license. mr
Hammer Handle
Just put our houses out a few days ago...5 inches of ice is "plenty". Nice picture and a nice sized spearing hole...but my father is very "picky" about his spearing hole and if it wasn't perfectly square and not as big "as the wood", he is not happy. LOL. LOL. I'm the same stubborn way. I've chipped away at the frame for too long, in one case slipping and taking a nice chunk off the house floor. At that point I knew I needed to cool it.Great picture. Awesome clarity and color. Looks like somebody found the jungle weeds. That bluegill could be snack food or at least get a nice scratch on his sides if he doesn't get out of the way of that snot rocket!
fishin magician
The blugill that you are referring to is actually a big sucker on a harness. I moved him when the snot rocket came in.
Hammer Handle
How did you take such a clear picture? I have taken a picture like this, but it is never that clear...even though the lake is extremely clear. Is the house dark inside when the picture is taken? Also, is that a sucker in the middle of the hole or a sunny? I always use a live sucker and maybe a decoy with the live sucker.
Scott M
Wow, that's neat. Now I can barely see the line down to the sucker harness by the tines of the spear....How did you take such a neat picture? I get really bad reflection or nothing since it's so dark.... browning_gold
The water wasnt the clearest but it was clear enough to spear in, my camera doesnt take pictures of how it actually looks. I was up by alexandria on this trip. I usually spear around Hutchinson but every lake around their you cant see 2ft down.

troyfideldy
Here is a photo from 2007. Speared this nice northern on Lake Andrusia. Last year this photo had to be removed from the northern/muskie photo thread since there was so many emails disapproving that I had speared this fish. I speared another fish the same size the next morning. Slow spearing but worth it when a fish did show up. My roommate and I are heading out spearing for the first time tomorrow.
