Try Too Fish
Has anyone returned any Rapala lures to the company for warranty? I have a shad rap that will not stay tuned. I could not find any warranty info for lures on there web page! Thanks
ocf1
Its a lure... sometimes you get a bad egg in a egg carton. Just shipping it would pay for the lure itself almost. Save yourself time and money and buy a new one.
Borch
Shad raps and rapalas used to have a life time warranty for damage. I've sent in several to get replaced. However starting this spring you need to return them to the retailer for replacement or just toss them. Bummer as I have 15 that I was going to send back. Into the trash they go. walleyeking19
my brother had an X-rap that got the eye ripped off it and then it filled with water. he just sent it back and they sent him a new one.
Down Deep
I had a Countdow Shad Rap that had the body come off when I let it fly. All I got back was the lip. I took the lip back to the bait shop where I bought it and they gave me a new one. I suggest going that route first.
Try Too Fish
Sounds like Rapala has this figured out.! This is a new out of the box lure! Take it back to the retailer!! HA! Who keeps receipts?? I think that is just what Rapala figured out. Not many!
blueroof
I would purchase another and use the new receipt and packaging to return, or at the very least exchange the defective product. A bit of an ethics stretch, but useful against the typical corporate strategy of providing poor customer care and service.LB
BoxMN
That is what I do blueroof. Not if it breaks from wear and tear, but if the thing leaks, or the the bill breaks off on the first pike you catch, I just buy another and return the defective one for a replacement. You don't save money, but at least you get another one, and the store actually makes a sale. That best way I have found since Rapala stopped taking them back. For $6-$8 each, they should not break that quick, and they should run true even with a a little tuning.
Borch
Almost no one has this type of warranty on lures. It sure was nice while it lasted as I got several replaced over the years.
