Rapala

Try Too Fish

Shad raps and rapalas used to have a life time warranty for damage. I've sent in several to get replaced. However starting this spring you need to return them to the retailer for replacement or just toss them. Bummer as I have 15 that I was going to send back. Into the trash they go.

I would purchase another and use the new receipt and packaging to return, or at the very least exchange the defective product. A bit of an ethics stretch, but useful against the typical corporate strategy of providing poor customer care and service.

That is what I do blueroof. Not if it breaks from wear and tear, but if the thing leaks, or the the bill breaks off on the first pike you catch, I just buy another and return the defective one for a replacement. You don't save money, but at least you get another one, and the store actually makes a sale. That best way I have found since Rapala stopped taking them back. For $6-$8 each, they should not break that quick, and they should run true even with a a little tuning.
