fuel guage not working

Scoot

Recommended Posts

My fuel guage isn't working on my boat (1999 Skeeter 1770 cs). It appears to be getting power, but nothing registers on the guage. I presume this to mean that either the guage is bad or the sending unit is bad. Is there something else that is a likely source of this problem? Can someone tell me how I should proceed with finding out what is the source of my problem?

Thanks!

My Skeeter has a removeable section of floor in the center of the boat. Under that floor is the gas tank...one wire fell off the sending unit, problem solved. Hope it's that simple.

Rob, turns out that boat is female. I thought it was male. However, I can't manage to go a couple weeks at a time without doing something to really make it mad... a clear sign it's female! smirk.gifgrin.gif

Thanks fellas!

In that case it can't be fixed and you'll just have to put up with it. AND ITS ALL YOUR FAULT.

Yep, I'll go with flowers, admit that I'm an (Contact Us Please), it's all my fault, and I'll never do it again!

'Course I'll also think about getting a new boat if she keeps this dump up! I would love to check out some of the newer models I've been seeing! grin.gif

Gosh, I wish it was that easy for me.....go to a dealer get a new "boat" and possibly choose the "options", I like large ones.... grin.gif

Wait a minute, I deal in "boat" parts.... shocked.gif
