SWMuskeye
I was at Cub with the hen last night and right next to the walleye fillets (@12.99 a pound-HOLY!) were some mighty tasty looking fresh Buffalo Fillets that were priced awful right... Having never cooked it, I would like to give it a go. They were pretty thick, do you guys bake these? Or drop em in grease? What would be a good way to try cooking them? Thanks for the replies. Tom Linderholm
By filet do you mean tenderloin? If so I would grill them up just like I would a steak with your favorite seasoning. If it is a tougher cut, consider braising them in a crock pot.

SWMuskeye
Manny, I like your idea to keep it simple-grease and hot sauce. I think I may try that. The fillets, tenderloins, whatever were about an 1" thick by 6-8" wide. From what I've heard they're good eating, after all, anything cooked in grease and dunked in fat tastes good. I might try grilling them too, given how thick they are, they should hold up pretty well...
Eric Wettschreck
Buffalo fillets.......Hmmmmmm....... Toss em in the lawn and let the dog roll around on them for a couple of days. Once they are good and juicy till them into the garden.I hope you meant Buffalo steaks and not buffalo fillets.
Ralph Wiggum
Guys, a buffalo is also a fish, not just the wooly mammal you're thinking of!
