Slow Pitch Softball Bats

I have been using some of the composite bats and having success. They have a good sweet spot and don't get all dented up like those expensive baits.

Good luck,

Corey Bechtold

p.s.

Last year I led our team in HR's (and I'm no slugger tongue.gif)

You first need find out what kind of bat your league accepts as far as composites and single wall double wall, junk like that.

Personaly, I only play in single wall leagues now. I like to have the batter decide the hits, not the bat.

A little spendy but any good bat will cost a couple hundo at least.......My personal favorites in the last few years are the Techfire Fury (red bat) has pop but not like the Mikens and other loaded bats, and another line I like are the Easton Synergys......asa and usssa models both have pop but not as easy to hit a smasher like with the Mikens......I hate Miken bats for the fact that they have too much pop and even when you miss you can still take someones head off!!! These other bats can still send a ball flying but if you don't hit the sweat spot you aren't going to still hit it over the fence.......

My old boss in Kansas City had a Freak bat. It was outlawed by most leagues, but was grandfathered in for his league. Supposedly, even the least powerful hitter could hit them out on a consistent basis with it. He got it off hsolist, and the company must have had a snaffew and accidently sent him 2.

Look I still play at 42 yr.old and I am a gap hitter singles and doubles and on occasion triples and I love my DeMarini F-2, it's a mid level bat not to top of the line but it's been a durable doublewall and once in a while I go deep with it. I think I paid $150 for mine and I finished the season batting .632

You seriously keep track of your batting avg. in slow pitch softball? Did you take in to account the guy wearing jeans that missed three of your hits cause he was half in the bag??? grin.gif Just kidding and giving you a hard time!!!!

I wish I could be out playing ball right now but I have a bum shoulder and didn't want to go through another year of not being able to throw a ball....hopefully I can get back on the diamond by the end of the season!!! Good Luck to all in there respective softball seasons!!!

The miken freak is outlawed in the ASA after this year, so if someone you know has one, hit the snot out of it. Myself, I love the Anderson line, and the demarini EVO EX is a newer bat that has drawn my attention. I usually don't use a freak unless we have homers left and there are guys on... Call me a wuss, but I just like hitting the freak. Its fun to get an extra 30 feet on the ball. grin.gif
