Well guys, I'll be registering a channel as soon as my buddy who took the pics on his cell phone e-mails me the pics. Its not much but it gets me on the board. I hope my make-shift control item is visible on the pic. I had to write it on a piece of cardboard because I forgot to take the printed copy with me to the hoseshoe chain this weekend. The channel was 22" long with a 10" girth. Like I said, not much but its the biggest one I caught this weekend.

After 6 Flats this year none of which weighed more than 8 pounds we hit pay dirt Weds evening. grin.gif

No arm extension on a fish this big you actually have to rest the fish on your body and arch your back to support it. Pictures are great but you really have to see a big fish like this in person to truly appreciate it.

Thats who the text message came from! smile.gif

Not sure what to say Gary but that fish is awesome!!!

And you are right, seeing them in photos is one thing, personally holding one is something else altogether. Awesome, awesome fish!

That should put us up in the standings a little ways.

When catfishing from shore ("MPLS" or St. paul), all you have to do while waiting for the strike is to look around at skyline. "East" bank or west. Looking "South" or North. I love the skylines. Also you look at ground alot during your waiting game of fishing grin.gif.
