Happy Birthday to the Bassmaster. Same guy that came up with that 1,000 bass mark and caused me to wear a clicker last year when I was fishing. Missed many a nice fish hitting the clicker before I missed the fish at the boat.

Fishing in Florida was slow biggest fish was just under 20 inches. First 3 fish faulty hook set by me! (I felt like s--t)

Dietz, as long as I get to see the fish all is well. It is the pole bending battle, drag zinging, snap of the line, no look, no fish, that can kill a fisherman. The other thing is the water acts a magnifier so the missed fish always look a little larger. That being said the positive is that those 24" bass I missed if brought in the boat would have only been 20" ers so I have you to actually thank for that.

Now I do not if you are a Sienfield fan or not but if you are this will make sense. Whenever Jerry would see Newman he would cry out a short snappy "Newman". My expression while on the water with a pig at the side of the boat my right hand on the clicker and the fish falling from my outreached grasp was, "Dietz"....
