Bass_Bully
Any suggestions on style, color lenses, etc...for an all around use for bass fishing?
st.crioxfishin
I haven't looked at the costal del mar line of sunglasses. But, last year I finally broke down and bought a nice pair of oakley polarized ones and wow! they really are better than the cheaper ones, just gotta be a little more careful. For recomendations, I would look for a style that covers your peripheral(sp?) vision and ones that don't let sunlight in from anywhere around the edges of the sunglasses. I personally like amber for the lens color and I also know people who have specific colors for certain conditions. I've heard many good things about the Costa Del Mar sunglasses, I'd say its a good choice!
Deitz Dittrich
I have 3 pair of Fathoms.. and love em.. they fit my head like a pair of sunglasses should. I can not guarentee that they wouldfit your head as good as they fit mine... If I had to pick only one color lense, I might go with ltgrey...I have the amber and vermillion... I love the vermilion for bright days and the amber for overcast.
traveler
I've had 2 pairs of deep blues for a couple years now...vermillion and gray. I tried a pair of fathoms but they were a little narrow for my big head, they fit my adult son perfectly. I prefer glass lenses myself; don't mind the weight and I think they scratch less. CDM's are great glasses...
Banger
I have a couple of pairs, a pair of wave killers, and a new style that I can't remmber the name of, they have interchangeable lenses. I have sunrise, amber and gray lenses. For lense colors, amber is a good all around choice, but I like the gray when it is real bright. As mentioned before, make sure you find a pair that "fits" your head.
mamohr686
I'm on my third pair of Costas and I highly recommend them. As far as style pick the ones that fit your face the best! I've tried triple tail but they hurt my ears when I was on the water for over 12 hours. Now I have some that fit better and don't allow light in the sides. I prefer the new wave 580 glass lenses, because they are just as light as the polycarbonate lens and they don't show scratches like plastic will. I also like the amber color because the green colors really stand out. This makes it easier for me to see weed edges and fish in clear water. I can also wear them when running my bass boat at high speeds in low light conditions, where you would have to take of the grey colored lenses to see. Ralph Wiggum
If you've got a big noggin, check out the Wave Killers. I've got a pair with the green mirror glass lenses (amber lens with green mirrored coating) and I think they are fantastic.
FishCat
Funny. My dome is extra large as well. REI suggested Native Eyewear. I went with the Tare and can't say enough about how much I like them. I keep the polarized bronze lenses in all the time, but the Tare lets you switch out colors if you want. They come with bronze, orange, yellow and even clear. (I guess bike riders use the clear.) They're awesome angling glasses.
Bobb-o
do the clear lenses come with polarization? that would be really nice for low light fishing.
slipperybob
I'm thinking of getting one...I heard the 580 glass were the one's to get for better low light visibility.
FishCat
They do not. The brown were the only polarized ones in the set that came with my glasses. I do believe you can purchase additional lenses from Native though. But I've been wearing my well into the twilight hours. The browns seem to work great even in low light. Central Bassman
I also use the brown tint color. It seems to work best for me for looking into the water. I really like my Natives i got!!

Matt Johnson
I have a pair of Fathom's with amber lenses and really like them. It's incredible how well you can see through the water. And they are very comfortable. By far the best pair of glasses I've owned.
