I was thinking Cass, but we don't want to put the new boat in there and tear off the lower unit. I hope the water levels go up.

Looking forward to this trip in the emmaville area with your group. Hopefully the digital camera will get some work. Knowing your group some stories will definately get told along with the refreshments going down with them. It's going to be a good time. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME MUSKIES!!!!!!!

no i didnt fish them the first week last year, i was on a BIG walleye bite so muskies had to wait.

Well BUG if you want stop by the cabins and say hi. We'll be in room 4,3, and number2 ( I;ll be in room#4)so far there is one more room we are working on a group for that room!!! As for Mantrap we'll I have better luck on a near by lake! The smallest Esox we ever picked up on that lake is 44in the biggest is 49in!!!! We have a fine specimen on the photot board from last year! 11:oo at night over deep water!!!

I cannot wait till opener this year the sunset and the moon rise times are very close within a half-hour!! Man I hope we get good weather!!

Hey genius, your thinking of our Vermillion trip the end of July when the moon rise and sunsets are close. Let me guess you sent this post after bowling last night. Although in your defense May 31 is the full moon, so three days after would cover opening weekend.

Guiding Crappie guys on Red opening day, pike guys the day after. My opener will be on the Wensday after...Gotta go see my old friend Leech, maybe sneek down to the Trap if the weather is right.

Ya sure , I haven't seen Trap in two years, still my favorite Musky lake. Say is there still two older fellers with HUGE beards in a 14" alum. boat that fish the north/ south bar (Bluegill bar) in the South end of the main lake every sticking day? Those two are a couple of screwballs, I bet I pulled the "ZZ Top boys" and that old boat in at least once a week. They always paid in Hamms. The young one of the group (66 years old) had one big fish he seen and chased it for three years.

Son #2 HS grad party is opener weekend. May hit some Metro lakes Sunday eve. (WB,BE,FL). Definately will be out for the Wisc. opener though.

I won't be to far from emmaville on the opener. More towards itasca park. Maybe Plantagenet or Elk. Hooked into a 44" last year on opener and am hoping to better that this year. Gonna be staying at the cabin near Lake Alice. Good luck to all.

I was on ELK last year too!

You probably seen me land the fish near the access. Had some troubles with the net falling overboard but managed a few pics and let her go. Might head out there earlier this year to get a parking spot at the landing. Have seen a lot of fish on that lake including some real trophys. It's a nice small lake and it's quiet out there. (Speed limit) Think I'm gonna hit it a few hours before light. There were more boats out there on opener last year than I have ever seen on that lake. Good luck and maybe I'll run into you if you're out there this year. I'll be in the grey alumnacraft with merc motor. Don't know if my buddy is going with this year or not so I may be riding solo.
