Well the wife and I spend $6500 on a fish house, $450 on a new FL20, $150 H2O Gps, $135 on 2 30# tanks for the fish house, $60 on a souround sound for the fish house, $150 on a flat screen TV (wife wants to buy another for the other side)DARN! grin.gif, and looking for a generator found a honda 2000 for $839 (we will see on that one!), $100 Today's Tackle order, $75 on Northland order. That is where I stand today. I am not evan going to add it up, because I DON't want to know! cool.gif

The good thing is that we both are fish aholics, so it is for the BOTH of US!!! wink.gif

Expensive year, but will have the items for a LONG time!

I was going to say you guys are crazy.. until I realized I have purchased most everything in the recent years past... and I HATE ice fishing! But its better than sitting on teh couch until March!

Ramps for the ATV will be in order for this year.. pulling it up on the tilt trailer in icy conditions can be a safety hazzard when it starts slipping backwards.

I'll probably drop anther $50 on jigs I dont need at Moores since he got some new stuff in.

If I win the lottery I might pick up a electric auger.. can someone buy me a ticket? grin.gif Christmas is coming with a kid, and another kid on the way about that time.. purchases are pretty unrealistic.

This winter has been pretty tame for me.

- (2) new Tica Cetus SB500 reels

- (2) replacement St. Croix spring bobber springs

- (2) Fox Boxes from Thorne Bros

- Bunch of plastics from Little Atom

- Weasel jigging spoons from JB Lures

- Wool Mittens

- 1 burner propane stove for pemanent ice shack

- carpet for permanent ice shack

- mini-blinds for permanent ice shack

I still have planned to purchase 2 new Thorne Bros rods, 1 new St. Croix Legend spring bobber rod, Stone Legacy rod case.

I have to take it a little easy this winter since I have the new boat to rig very early in the spring with rod holders, Lowrance GPS/ Flasher, headlights, spotlight, bimini top, compass, trolling motor. Yikes!

Auger went into the shop and figure with tune up and parts-$75.00.

Bought some vertical jigging JB lures- $36.00

So far the bill is pretty light. But I still need to buy

a few more things:

-ice line

-panfish tackle

-possible Stone Legacy rod bag

Otherwise I'm pretty well set again this year.

not much yet, got a new st. croix legend and reel from reeds and thats about it. Still need a Perch Sweetheart from TB though. But once break starts, money spending here i come. A couple trips north tend to bring the bill up quick.

Hmmmm.

GPS $160

Guide series rod $25

Line for rod $6

Bait Pucks $4

Making 2 chisels $10

Portable mod. $45 so far

Under Armor $45

Total $295

I figure the GPS is not just for ice fishing and the same for the under armor so it makes me feel like I spent less.

I've had the ice fishing fever for a while, so I've been out often getting a few things here, a few more there. Decided to spring for a new portable, needed a new heater of course. Some of the rods and reels "needed" replacement. Can never have enough terminal tackle..... When I think back and start adding it all up, holy dump!! I think I'm close to a grand..

My problem is.....Once I'm on my way to go ice fishing, I'll either stop at Fleet Farm a few days ahead of time $50-$100 on random things. or...The bait shop on the way to go fishing: I always find something that I need for $50-$100 total. But later to find out that I already have it!

0 so far this year except for the new window material and skirt put on my portable, the tune up on the auger and 4 wheeler, the hyfax runners a couple of lights, a few assorted jigs and lures, yep, nothing, 0 but I figure for the prices they get for some of those womens shoes and such that my wife likes to buy I got some spending to do to catch up. "Honey, is that a new ice house?" "NO, THIS OLD THING, I'VE HAD IT IN THE CLOSET(GARAGE) FOREVER. I JUST THOUGHT I"D TAKE IT OUT AND DUST IT OFF A BIT!" hee heee

Nope, nothing not one red cent but even then I'd deny it....help me I'm a fishing and hunting aholic! Guck luck to all!

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
