Well I can't top that Franky the resident stud master and all keeper of the frenzy but ideserve that for not burning up Lee's cell phone minutes. I'll take the heat as usually but I'm cooled by Northshore's wonderfull slam below. Well done Greg the 26" and 22" are fat and sassy!

Hey that was 3 before midnight, and 3 after midnight right? I always wondered how that works, especially during the spring all nighters when the crappies are running in the Oneida River lol. grin.gif

Excelent mess of fish my grandpa would say, any1 got any bread crumbs or some beer batter handy??

Thats right! Knowing that I couldn't fish tonight I decided to stick it out in the wind and the snow and catch a limit after 12. I guess that you have to be there at the right time and also brave the elements. So many guys are done waiting for ice but there is always something to catch even if it is a cold. grin.gif Had a blast even when you do have to throw them back.May hit the water later with the Rogue Kid and make a few casts. Thanks again Tim for posting the pics. smile.gif

All off the preacher box. Guess that I wont have to attend church on sun. grin.gif14 fish total for the evening. No one around at all. A great time with the Rogue kid it was.!!! smile.gifTim: Sending you pics again. Still havent figured this new camera out yet.!

Got out of Apacolypto around midnight last night, and again . . . .thought about a trip to the bar. I see I would not have been alone, but was afraid someone would report me and take away my security clearance. Great job and NS don't forget to put something in the offering. grin.gif

Good luck today!

Thanks Timmy. I think Sunday night we "might" be doing a little night trolling at the lake with the big perch we fished with Robb a month or two ago. I got a feeling that we could tie into a big girl down there now once the sun sets pulling those big Rogues. The weeds should have died back quite a bit now making trolling shallow a little easier. I'll let ya know how it turns out if we go.

Arrived at the bar early with Hendo to get a good spot @330. A little chop until dark then it died down. The fishin was quite slow as we hit a few and CNY Frank hit a few also. The highlight of the evening was when I hooked a 40"+ northern on 6lb mono and had a blast. The area between the pt and the manor was hot as was Vassil pt.Hendo managed to get his likmit and I well got my exercise. grin.gifGood luck on the lake Tim.

You should have seen the look on Hendo and my face when North Shore said the northern hit way out . . .yeah like 10 feet way out. Between the three of us we looked like we were fishing for salmon . . NS ducking under my line and Hendo and me casting for its brother! Not many fish but at least we got some fresh air. My 30 minutes late was as expected but this morning all is well. Was cleaning fish at midnight and thought . . just thought about coming back out.

What a great night of trolling last night out in the Lund. I picked up my first eye at 4:40 and then nothing until about 6:15 and then I quickly got 4 hookups and boated 3 of those and then about 6:45 CNYTim calls me on my cell and not 30 seconds into the call, BANG, my 5th eye rips into the Tiger Roan cool.gif Put that one into the livewell and capped of my limit and then called Timmy back to talk a little. Gotta love it. Surface temps down to about 38 now but the bite just keeps getting better and better. All fish were between 17" and just under 22". 3 males, 2 females. Nice calm night out with plenty of moonlight to make it a little easier to watch the rods. I've got the Lund still hooked up to the truck and I'm going back tonight after work for a couple hours to try again cool.gif I think tomorrow and Sunday I'm fishing for lakers as I have things to do both nights in the early evening so I can't stay out late enough for eyes but I don't mind catching lakers either. They're hitting real good right now too.

Oh its just Hendo picking me up for another walleye slaughter. grin.gifWill report later.

Okay guys like Dark Cloud said it was a grind out there yesterday... Lloyd, Steve and I left the launch about 7 a.m. in the morning with no guarantees but a good time on probably the last boat open water trip of the season. Well it didn't take us long to get the first fish of the day.... try 3 p.m. shocked.gif when Steve hooked up with a tooth pick grass rat. We had like a NNE wind around 7-10 during the day which flipped to a 10-15 east wind in the late evening. 3 p.m. first fish?? as you can see it was a long day but we knew with the chop we still had time to grind it out and make something happen late, hoping....

Sandwiched in the middle of the day was a wonderful lunch prepared by Lloyd's wife Mary absolutely excellent sandwiches and firehouse cookies for desert.. Lloyd and Steve did a little shopping in the Manor while at lunch and we ran into Bob G off Lewis Pt.. and we ran into him again at the Manor, he was nice enough to get some photo's of us below after lunch and as we were going out for afternoon/evening run, thanks Bob!

LLoyd, Steve and Tim..

Off the Manor and view to the lake.. I love this pic...

Okay Guys after slugging and not marking many at all we rested are hopes of salvaging a succesful trip on a good night run. Lesser fisher would have chalked it up to a bad day and cashed in ther chips to play again. But as we know the Overtime Gang plays to win... Well basically here's the way it went in a nut shell. We fished Marion Manor to Little Lewis Pt. drift and we caught our limits but it was no slaughter fish were 15" to 22" and sassy as usual.. Plugs that worked well were mostly Frankies Frenzy and Lloyd and I managed two lose both alter on. frown.gif Lloyd some how came undone from his duo lock snap confused.gif and mine was fighting what I believe would have been the big boy of the day but I was on a rock shoal with 6lb. P-Line and was kicking myself for not retying on the last fish, lesson learned. It was a slammer too Lloyd yelled "Steve! Get the net! Timmy's rods doubled over!" We caught 1 eye on a challenger jr. minnow, 6 on Frenzy's and two on (drum roll please, dah dah dah..... Walmart minnow those beautiful $1.99 minnows took the last two keeps. So CNY Frank and Fishin Phils babies did the job for us, but it was a long sling to get to 9. We finished up a little before 11 p.m. where I believe the bite was picking up because we did well on our last drift. I was so exhauseted afterword, sorry didn't have time to post when I got home. Felt sorry for Steve and Lloyd they still had a 2.5 to 3 hour drive home. crazy.gif Well I saw this off the manor guys and I had to get a picture of it here's 7 guys all lined up and we saw an 8th guy arrive a little later.

Steve and I with a couple of keeps and Steve kept throwing Lloyd's fish in the livewell before I could snap a pic wink.gif

It was nice to meet Steve's ice fishing partner and good friend Lloyd, excellent fella and look forward to spending a day with them guys ice fishing this winter. Steve., always a pleasure sir and I want to thank you for running the trolling motor all night long stiff winds., sore back you worked that motor magnificently under pretty harsh shoal conditions with wind. Really the only down thing that happened was after we finished with our limit I believe we ran out of battery power to turn over the Merc and had to come in on the Minn Kota. Great time was had by all but I'm sure Steve is paying for it today. Overtime is appropriate I think. Thanks for coming up from Newburgh guys!

Way to go John - man this walleye run has been something else. Went to pull the drain plug on the Lund after we loaded up last night and no water came out confused.gif Looked at Steve and he said "That's because there's ice in the bottom" shocked.gif Talked to North Shore a couple minutes ago and the bar is back into slam form tonight!
