Well you will know that it is there that if for sure. It probably will be a little much for a ATV. It will move it sure but with any sizable amout of snow you will probably have a tough time. It will trailer as well as a camper would. The only thing I would be concerned with is how do you plan to move it around on the lake are you going to have a resort do it or will you plan on just moving it with your pick up. A house that big can be hard to move with alot of snow. I have a time of things sometimes with my 6.5'X12'.

Holly !@#$ that is a big shack WOW, I donno man you might be able to pull on a good ice road but in the snow? with that sized shack IMO you will need 12-14 inches of ice just to get it out, I would not hook it up to an ATV if you go over an ice heave or up a small hill the ATV might end up hanging from the hitch 6 ft in the air blush.gif

Well am buying a plow truck so I can make my on roads.I am also thinking of heading to Lake Of The Wood's once or twice a year and if you go off a resort the have plowed roads I think

right they have plowed roads but they don't always go exaclty where you want them too. Also you don't want to set a house especially one that size up on a major resport plowed road as it will flood easily with the weight of snow and house. Some resorts will plow a small access road for you for a charge. But it you have a plow truck you would be in good shape.

What my plan with the atv is when the Ice is about 12inch's I will plow a road to were ever I want to go on any given lake and then run it out with the ATV.the truck and fishhouse wt have to be 8000 to 9000lb that dosen't sound safe on 12 inch's of ice and if you pay all this money for a fishhouse who want's to wait tell mid JAN to use it

Who wants to haul it out of the bottom of the lake?

We have a 10x16 house that is on skids that gets pulled out. We never used it last year since the ice was bad, that sucks.

We pull ours out on a 4-wheeler (if snow allows) on 14" of ice and it still cracks a lot. Id at least wait for over a a foot of ice.

Looks like a great house but some people I know have a house just like it and have sold it and are going to a smaller 7x16or 20, it was just to big and most years had to wait intill the ice got 12-14in and ended up missing a lot of good fishing, real nice house in the drive way but get it out on the ice and then get 20 in of snow and some slush on the ice and you will need a wrecker to move it.

i agree with mnhunter i have a 6x10 and sometimes wish it was bigger but with very careful planning i have managed to fit 3 bunks a tv dvd player stereo and all the usual goodies with plenty of storage and still be able to fish 4 people inside so even though i wish it was bigger sometimes i like being able to get out there early in the year since we pull it with a 4-wheeler and i also like to be able to move easily thats just me .02

Grand Dad: If you have a Polaris Ranger or some type of rig like that, you should have no problems pulling any thing that size. I have a 7.5x16 Kingcrow, loaded with all of the goodies, and most all of the time I have no problems. I pull mine with a Kawasaki Mule. Actually, only once last year did I have a little trouble because of the glare ice and I didn't have the chains on. If you have a little crust on the snow, it'll go good. I like the extra room and if it's a drop down, well that's the best type. I don't leave mine on the ice when I'm not staying up there though... Kaz cool.gif

Have you considered making a wheeled dolly for the nose? That way the entire house would be on wheels and you could use a tow chain. This would take care of the hitch problem on an ATV. You still may have some traction issues. Make sure you post a pic of this behemoth.
