Recommended Posts

I'm going to re-bait tonight for the last time till opener and I hope he gets his fill either tonight or wed. night so when he comes in on thurs. at 10:00- 11:00 pm and see it is all gone he'll be forced to come in early on Fri. and thats when I come into play and the rest is history- Sounds like a nice plan but will it work??? I hope this is the year for me- Good luck to all and be safe this weekend!!

I have a couple pics of a very nice bear if someone can post for me. Also looking for ideas of trying to change the pattern to get him in during daylight. This bear has moved all the other bears out of area in the last week and has been hitting baits at 3 am every night. Any ideas of how big this one might be?

YIPPPEEE!!!!!! Just got hit. Last time I baited was Sat. Whent in today an was met with good vibrations i could hardly contain myself. He took one of my scent sacks, been eating old pastry that I just scaterd around form past baiting, opened the crib pretty good and ate pastry, still have dog food in the crib, so he's been in probebly twice at least an will be back cause he knows theres stil stuff there. I replenished, found some claw marks that indicate possibley 4 1/2 inch pad, left a scent trail out to a big gopher mound an dumped some grease in hopes to get a better track, but I'm sure he's a shooter. I'm giddy like a school girl! sorry. Hey riptide you have big bear going, if he's pushed out all other compettion, he's declaired dominance on that crib an he's the bull of the woods. Good luck, try to lure him in on a bacon burn or just douse the area with alot of grease, throw a change up an see if he swings at it. Hey fish good luck man I really hope ya nail him. This has been alot of fun, really great talking to you guys this year. Good luck, be safe an God bless. Later boar. Hey fish Did you say you put out bait for the last time yeaterday meaning tuesdAY? I think I would give him just a little tease tomorrow, I dont know, an mabey something new an exciting like the bacon burn for friday. I dont know. You know what your doing, I cant think straight, two days to go an I just got hit for the first time an my mind is like a hamster on a wheel. Good luck all, Later again Boar

Thanks Biglakeba$$ for posting the pics. I don't know much about bear, never have hunted them never will. I just wanted to post this picture for you bear hunters and ask a couple of questions for the father-in-law and neighbor. Almostthere i believe they have a biodegradable potato sack hanging over the bait pile to try and judge how big this bear was.I have know idea on the rules because i don't bear hunt so let me know if thats illegal and i'll past it on to them. They had it hanging 7 1/2 feet in the air. They have plenty of pics from other bears until last week when this one moved in. I was asking questions for them because they are worried the bear won't come in during the daylight since all pics show 3 a.m and the other bears he has moved out were coming in during the day. I will tell them to do the bacon gease burn.Good luck to you guys that are hunting.
