Looking for a rifle shooting range

Does anyone know where some ranges are in the twin cities area?

The Forest Lake Gun Club has a very nice range that is open to the public. There is also the Oakdale Gun Club, but they are only open to the public at certain times.

There is Moon valley on hwy 212 by Chaska on the west edge of the metro.You would have to call on the hours.

Moon Valley Ha sbeen closed for over a year. They sold off to developers or something like that. I can't imagine the uses though.....there is so much lead in them hills.

the Caribu hunting club (I think that is the name) is down in Le Suer, yes it is not "metro" but last year it was $10 a guy, unlimited time and guns with bunks out to at least 400 yards.

I would second the Oakdale Range. They have a 200 yard range to go to after you are done at 100 yards. Its nice to know if you think you are ok at 100 yards but at 200 yards you really aren't. 200 yards seems a whole lot further away than 100 yards does. Then after you are done sighting in the rifle you can jump over and shoot a round or two of trap before going home. $5/round of trap but $15/rifle.

If you have multiple rifles you want to shoot at oakdale, it is still only $15.00. They now charge per person and not per gun...at least that is what it was last fall...

If your coming from Hallock swing through perham on your way down or back there is a free range south of town.
