opsirc
Here we are almost to august and I have not been on a inland lake fishing once. Only managed to be on Superior three times, thanks to a friend who has a boat. Been working on my big boat and everytime I think I going to get it working, something else pops up and breaks. Have not even been able to think about working on the smaller one (needs a new floor). The way things are going I will be putting them away for the winter without getting either one in the water at all. The money never seems to go far enough, does not help tring to keep four vehicles fueled up. Think I am going to sell them all and buy a horse, can feed it with the grass in the back field. guess will be buying my fillets at Sams club. Fishin4Life
Sorry to hear that. Maybe next year will pan out better for you. If worse comes to worse you could always just unload your small boat for well below market value to some poor sole like a guy I know on here with a SN of "fishin4life". Hehe. All kidding aside, the floor in the little boat sounds like it should take priority and leave the details on the big boat for over the winter? At least you would have one functioning boat then. Just my 2 pennies. "Get a stool and its easier to look over the fence to brighter days"
Down Deep
Get one of those boats going. Island Lake (Duluth) has been producing like crazy. I've been going out most evenings 6 to 10 PM and with the high humid overcast the walleyes have been very cooperative. There are lots of 10 inchers, but I've been getting seveal 16's each time I go. Even with the small fish the action is fun. I've got to miss out tonight due to a funeral.

MntkaFishin
I feel your pain opsirc. Due to the fact that I'm in night class twice a week my boat has sat idle for the majority of the summer. Nothing will drive a fisherman crazy like going inside to sit in a classroom for three hours on a perfect summer night.
The_Duckslayer
The top of my boat has been wet many more times than the bottom of it has and we have not had that much rain this year! Been out in the boat fishing once Just seems like there is no time at all. I am staining the house this year and that takes up time and we have been making a lot of trips to WI to get the father in law set up in his new digs. To add to the misery it will be WAY to HOT for me to be on the lake this weekend! Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
