3/4" round hole on the back of my boat

Why do they have a 3/4" round hole on the lower part right under the motor? Every time I go out my boat fills with water and the pump can not keep up. Do they make a smaller hole that will not let as much water in? Is it there so water can clean the bottom of the boat under the floor, I do not see any other way to get under there to clean it out.

Unless you are refering to the transom drain holes on each side of the transom well?

Has you fishing buddy ever asked at ramp "did you put the plug in" then wondered what he meant but were afraid to ask?

Try using a 12 volt backup sumppump, available at most home centers, otherwise your other option is a gas powered trashpump. Have you complained to the boat dealer?

After re-reading your post, this is your drain hole...Put the plug in it.

My only other thought is this post is a spoof to waste peoples time...

It threw me for a loop..unfortunately I find this stuff kinda funny...at times. I am still kinda laughing...especially if it isn't the hole for the plug.

.....I agree.....it doesn't matter a hole whatever the size or shape has to be plugged if underwater.

Just wanted to see who is awake this morning. It came up when I went out this weekend, I forgot to put the plug in. Never again. I had water up to the floor before I noticed it. Why do they not put auto pumps in from the factory. It would have came on right away. Any ways good story.

I thought they put that whole there to kind of give your boat that "low profile" look in the water, like people seem to like to do to their "trucks"

Skeeter has a video on their webpage that shows one of their boats with sections of the fiberglass and foam cut out and it stays afloat.

Oh I see, they cut out sections and floated the whole boat, LOL, I thought you meant they floated the sections that were cut away, haha my bad. That is a pretty cool video. I wish they would have shown a take off after it was all full up with water like that. Would have been interesting to see how that worked out I think...
