3/4" round hole on the back of my boat

18 inch Crappie

Question

Why do they have a 3/4" round hole on the lower part right under the motor? Every time I go out my boat fills with water and the pump can not keep up. Do they make a smaller hole that will not let as much water in? Is it there so water can clean the bottom of the boat under the floor, I do not see any other way to get under there to clean it out.

It threw me for a loop..unfortunately I find this stuff kinda funny...at times. I am still kinda laughing...especially if it isn't the hole for the plug.

.....I agree.....it doesn't matter a hole whatever the size or shape has to be plugged if underwater. crazy.gif

Just wanted to see who is awake this morning. It came up when I went out this weekend, I forgot to put the plug in. Never again. I had water up to the floor before I noticed it. Why do they not put auto pumps in from the factory. It would have came on right away. Any ways good story.

Hey, now that I think about it.... wasn't somebody trying to say "boats float since they have flotation foam" ???

Do you want to tell them if it's true or not???? grin.gifgrin.gif

Skeeter has a video on their webpage that shows one of their boats with sections of the fiberglass and foam cut out and it stays afloat.

They could only do sections because the whole boat would sink, LOL tongue.gifgrin.gif

Not sure how long total, but they show four guys on it fishing and they also show it crusing around the lake....

(no unauth links please)

Its the "2005 skeeter floatation video"

The boat is only a few inches above water, but I guess they are just showing that you won't sink.

Oh I see, they cut out sections and floated the whole boat, LOL, I thought you meant they floated the sections that were cut away, haha my bad. That is a pretty cool video. I wish they would have shown a take off after it was all full up with water like that. Would have been interesting to see how that worked out I think...
