I'll be there tonight! Sweet, another person I can heckle. Did you get the "tow away" paint off your window? You country folk need to look sharp when you come to the big city.

Tradition is that people throw something to the crowd. Usually it's candy, but I hear Deitz is throwing Mr. Twister baits.

Dietz, I'd love to see a cliffs notes version of rigging plastics. Texas, Carolina, dropshot, etc. I know there are many many ways to rig and situations call for slight adjustments etc, but having a basic article with perhaps the "standard" ways to do a few thing would be beneficial I think. I'm still pretty green around the collar when it comes to plastics and bass and I'm sure I'm not the only one. blush.gif

Interesting I did not know that White Bear was recognizing a teacher of the year. As I recall the Minnesota or national teacher of the year was a lady from my home town of St. Louis Park.

Deitz are you or your wife being personally recognized I believe that you both are teachers.

I saw the Deitz man tonight at the parade. And, by-golly, he was handing out lures. Mr. Twister Comidas no less!

Pike, Deitz was the driver for the White Bear Lake teacher of the year contingent. In fact, my son's teacher from this past year was riding in the back. I'm glad to see she survived my boy...and I think she survived the ride with Deitz. Thanks Deitz for treating us White Bearites so good.

Deitz,

I'd be interested in seeing an article describing how you approach new water. I would also mention how you change your approach based on water clarity etc. Obviously, you'd likely mention getting a map is a key but I'm more interested in what you do when you get on the water to dissect it.

I like to ask this question of pro's when they have seminars. I did ask Al Linder this question & his response was that he liked to start with three horizontal baits & three vertical baits. He then proceeded to work from shallow water to deep water with all six. I thought it was a pretty good idea to try to find the active fish in a fairly quick manner.

Deitz, we seem to be getting alot of good questions. Maybe we should correl Rick and Matt and see if we can get a Gander or Cabela's room and do an evening seminar before we get to long into the season. Other wise if it gets to late into the season all Matt will talk about is ice fishing grin.gifgrin.gif

Gentlemen, if you are looking for a bit of feedback from forum users as to the interest in coming to one of your seminars, I will start it off by saying yes, I would attend. There are always new things to learn, at any time of the year, as far as this sport of bass fishing is concerned.
