eyepatrol
Oh no...no negativity...just trying to be truthful. Lund definitely makes a top of the line boat, no doubt. And with any product, marketing is a key, and who better to market your product(s) than Al and the guys. I myself am looking at a Lund for next year. Along with some other boats too, but Lund has obviously got to be at or near the top of the list just because....it's a Lund!
ASMOLEY
In Minnesota i think that you will find that most people are going to own a Lund or Alumacraft. Others are starting to appear more on lakes such as crestliner which have really broken into the market. Main reason i think we see more of these boats vs a Triton is because of the type of fishing we do here in Minnesota. Also price is huge factor not everyone has $30k+ for a boat so they go with something that will fit their needs and not put them below the poverty line. soldoncass
I have a Lund also. My previous boat was a Mirrocraft. I was surprised by the number of Alumacrafts. I don't see that many, maybe I'll have to pay more attention?

I don't see that many, maybe I'll have to pay more attention? Yeah, I just bought a new Alumacraft. If you would have asked me about 3 years ago what I would buy, I would have said Crestliner. They are making a real nice boat now, especially with the features for the buck. Crestliner is still a good boat too. In my opinion, a lot of these top boat choices is like Ford to Chevy to Dodge. They all are nice and almost can not go wrong. Last weekend on Big Stone, I was also surprised by the number of Alumacrafts on the water. I think it was roughly a ratio of 3:2 to the other brands. Maybe a fact that we were also a little closer to St. Peter was also a factor??? KJ
Kaz
Deitz, You forgot the most popular guide boat on Lake of the Woods, SportCRAFT.. Mine is a 25'er. Not the easy tow, but once you get there and in rough water, it rides like "Silk" KAZ

fishinchicks
I put other, since I am not sure. The boat itself says Traveler. It is a 12 foot aluminum row boat that is older than I am. The 5 horse Johnson is so old, the small engine shop/boat dealer cannot find parts for it. Usually, I just shore fish.

Slyster
Wow.. 5 Tritons out of the 610 boat votes. I never would have guessed that.. I thought they were "THE BOAT" to own. Too expensive perhaps. I'd sure like one!
LABS4ME
After owning aluminum boats my whole life, I bought a Triton and will never own another aluminum boat! To counter act the costs, I bought a 3 year old boat with only 157 hrs on it and extended warranties on both motors. The hull has a lifetime warranty (and even better, not one sliver of wood). It is like brand new but 40% less expensive than a comparable one. It even turned out to be $4000.00 less than the new Lund fisherman I was looking at! Plus it has a global map and (2) X-15's, marine band, drop in rear casting deck, mercury smart craft gauges, pro-pole etc. I guess what I'm getting at is let someone else buy it, rig it and sell it to you at a very reduced cost! That's the only way I was able to get into one... I couldn't afford the $45,000 price tag!Good Luck!Ken

V-12 Merlin
ocf... They say that a boat owner is happiest only two days: The day they buy the boat and the day they sell it. My boat is a 1988 Thundercraft 16ft fiberglass deep-v with a Merc 70. I kinda converted it to fishing, except no livewell (yet).
