Fight Club - SD style (lotsa pics)

I had the privilege of watching these fellas do a little springtime "business" - I was about 75-100 yards from them with my Nikon D50/70-300mm lens. The fight went on for 5+ minutes and they were totally oblivious that I was there until the very end.

Nice pictures, it's too bad that the sun was in your face as opposed to your back... those birds have great color and it's kinda lost in the shadows ya know what I mean.

My favorite is definitely the 5th one - the light coming throug the feathers on the wing and the lower rooster looking off-balance...it just seemed to show the true nature of the fight best.

I'm heading back out there tonight til Sunday, so I'll try and post up more pics next week.

Blaze, SWEEEEEEEEET!! Those are the coolest pheasent shots I have ever seen. Were there hens in the area or do you think it was a territorial thing? With a battle like that, the dollys have to be close.
