Yeah NO deal. Nothing better and more satisfying than a few fresh fillets on the plate after a relaxing day of fishing. I never go fishing with the sole intention of keeping fish, that is always secondary to the enjoyment of fishing, and rareley outside of ice fishing do I even keep anything, but, I am on the opposite side of the coin as a select few here, I never buy fish from a grocery store and never order it from a menu, it's just not the same as a meal of fresh fish, I am not one of those guys who has 20 bags of fish fillets in their freezer, but a fresh walleye or a half dozen bluegills right from the lake to the plate, now that's what it's all about.

No deal. I believe in C&R and keeping a few for the table. I live in SD and I have watched the walleye limits go from 8 to 6 to 4 and to 2 in some places. I have seen the pan fish limit go from 25 to 10 in places. Every time you go to a different lake you have to look at the regs to see what is different on the new lake. I have watched our Department of Tourism put tv ads all over the country inviting people to fish SD. I have seen the results and I think it is time for them to shut up and time for Game, Fish and Parks to close walleye fishing during the spawn. Maybe then our limits can be raised to be the same as neighboring states. A two fish limit for walleyes sucks. Just my .02.

I would have to say no deal. I am a firm believer in cath and release but always like to have a fresh meal of fish once and awhile. I think taking a few of the smaller fish actually helps in producing your bigger fish. Plus if you go out fishing all the time and never bring anything home people really think you are telling fish stories! grin.gif
