H2Oc question

Wow, the site is slow today, or is it just me. I bought the H20 C with Lakmaster Chip @ Marine General for $280 out the door. I think Reeds would have made me the same deal. You have to work them a little since they are all competing against each other. Have fun.

Nitroant

I bought the RAM mount for my car off of hsolist for $15. It is pretty sweet with a big suction cup and very sturdy arm that it swings on. the arm disconnects and also can clip into a vent. I have only used it mounted to my windshield but love it. Don't know if you are looking for that style or not. Good luck.

The best price that I found at the show was at Capra's for $219 for the H2O C and the Lakemaster Chip. I just about died when he told me it was for both.

Is the color H20 the way to go? or are they hard on the portable batteries?

Is it the way to go? I think so! I've had my H20c for all of winter now and it is really nice.

-However, it is VERY!! hard to see in direct sunlight.

&

-It is VERY!! hard on batteries.

I solved my battery problem by carrying around a depth finder battery on my snowmobile with a cigarette lighter adapter wired to it. I then just plug my H20 into the cigarette lighter plug and I can go for days with the backlight on. Otherwise, the H20 is always plugged in my truck as well.

The Lakemaster MN chip is all you need. Pop it in and go. Its sweet!

I picked up the MN Lake Master chip at the sports show yesterday for $49.99 at Reeds. Cheapest yet! grin.gif

The guys at Lakemaster said the new chip will not be coming out until August. It will be adding 13 new in depth lakes to the new chip.

In advance or easy mode under Sounds you should be able to turn off key sounds and alarms sounds you can also set the volume level default is on high volume.

page 84 in the H2O manual.

I never even stopped at Capra's. I have never had any luck at their store with them being the low price, guess this was my chance to finally see them as the best price. Oh well, still got a pretty good deal. I also went to Gander to find a case for it, and what do you know, they were out!!! They have some one size fits all cases made by some case company, but the small one was too small and the next size was way too big. I bought a case for a Garmin that works perfect. Even extra room at the bottom for extra batteries. Pretty good for $9.99. I bought the lithium batteries for it too. How many hours are you guys getting out of the batteries?

Was at the show Sunday afternoon. Stopped by Capras and asked what they could do on the H2Oc. Was told $219.00. I asked if that included the Lakemaster chip. Was laughed at and told no way. Reeds had the H2Oc marked at $219.00 and offered me the Navionics Premium North chip for $119.00 which seemed quite fair. Since I needed this chip for my Humminbird 787C2, the deal was done.

Sorry to hear that. I knew when he gave me the price for both that I couldn't pass it up. I guess I do get lucky once in a while. He told me they where tired of the other stores jacking around with the prices, so they gave the lake chip for free. $219 is still a heck of a deal for the H2O.

    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
