Okuma Reels

Browsing cabelas catalogues today and saw a reel that looks interesting. It is the Okuma Induron. I would be using it for channel catfish in the 17 to 30 lb range. Has anybody had the opportunity to use them or know anything about them????

I've used a couple of Okuma Magda line counter reels for part of a season now. No complaints given that they weren't expensive reels. Good luck...

Don't know much about the Induron but I've been pleased with their products.

Probably doesn't help you out a whole heck of a lot, but my fly reels are all okuma, and I have NEVER had a problem with them and would buy them again in a heartbeat!

I've been using the Okuma Epixor bait runner and it works great. I use mine mostly for Flatheads and haven't had a problem with it.

I use Okuma also and am VERY happy with them. Look at other reels with ten ball bearings and check the price out. Okuma's are $50-$60 cheaper for the reel you are getting. I forsee in the next two years that all my reels will be Okuma's.
